In fact, I thought he would be very frustrated and disappointed after such an embarrassed game. If I was him, I would have hidden myself in the bathroom and cried loudly. Billions of eyes are looking at him, numberless media are following him, Sportscenter is showing his every single bad play...... I can feel that huge pressure on his shoulders. From some reports of today I am very glad that he looks fine. He was the only Rockets player who attended the press conference after the game yesterday. He joked the bad translation of Pine. He answered the questions properly. Then on the Rockets plane to Denver last night he ate a lot of food. He studied the playing schedule of Rockets. He analysed each of his play in that 11 minutes, offence and defence, with his friend- reporter Yang Yi. He said, "I am not afraid of learning. Five years ago, when I was a rookie of CBA, I was abused by every center of every team. Now I am a rookie of NBA. I am beginning my new 'Long March' now." This kid has a strong heart. Don't know if the players ever read these boards but hopefully they at least hear about threads like this or others so they'll know the fans are sticking with them. So,for what it's worth......hang in there Yao. Keep soaking everything up like a sponge and your time will come when you will shove everything back down your critics' throats like you will your opponents' shots! We're with you big guy,all the way. One more thing....when it all comes together for you,don't forget the treatment you're getting from ESPN right now. I'm sure they'll come to you as though they backed you all the way.
It sounds like he's being very professional about this, and has the healthiest attitude you can have in his position. That's really good news. On the other hand, I hope this doesn't diminish his competitive fire. He can help the team much more by playing assertively.

Yao Ming you're still the man, that was only one game. All the rockets did last night was iso. in the first quarter they did good, but after that they didn't pass the ball very well I think that's what's cost them the game.

Mark Norelli, Rockets vice president, sales and services, said the team's goal is to sell out 12 games this season. In stitches Rockets rookie Juaquin Hawkins has never played in a head band before. He also had never made an NBA team before. Naturally, the head band will remain. "I still have 15 stitches in my head (from a preseason collision with Cuttino Mobley) so I have to wear it," Hawkins said. "I'm going to keep it. I take it as a positive.
