Just watching the Apple Keynote, and they use Mini Me and Yao in their ads for their new laptops.

    Pretty funny!

Yao uses the small 12" laptop, and Mini me uses the 17" one, seated on an aeroplane. Seems like Yao is now in everyone's mind when they think of "something BIG" :)

I was watching a live stream, and they showed the advert at the end of the presentation. I can't find a link for it yet, but it'll probably be on http://www.apple.com/powerbook/ when it's put on the web.

They don't have the ad up yet, but you can stream in the keynote (Quicktime). The Yao commercial is near the end.

I thought I'd finally be first to post something to this place. Merde! Quick typing, GBRocksFan!

Check it -- Ming uses a Mac too? This kid is absolutely too good to be true.

PCs are for the Shandon Andersons of the world.

    CBFC

PS. Suck on that one, fromobile.

Man I hope Yao's endorsement activities won't distract him too much from his real work : playing basketball. He has all the potential, but he is far from where he should be yet.

The guy is still a rookie who's just played like 30+ NBA games, he's got tons of things to learn. He needs to work on his offensive moves so that his shot can't be easily blocked by guys almost 1 foot shorter. He needs to gel with his teamates, get better with the team plays etc.. As busy the schedule is, I just don't see how leaving practice to shoot pictures/movies will not have any impact on his play. Rox GMs better watch it.

hey, man, you misspelled signature. if you wanted to abbreviate it you should have put a period at the end.
and i think the sentence you were looking for was:
"I love your signature, by the way."

    Quit slacking off, genius.

Just saw the ad! Awesome! Very funny! Cool to see Yao endorse Apple!

If you watch it via streaming quicktime on the Keynote address the commercial comes at the 27 minute mark. Great ad!!

Actually, I'm not sure that's right. At the moment, the keynote is just being replayed on a live stream. It seems like you clicked onto it about 30 minutes from the end, Deuce.

The actual speech was about 2 hours long, so if you watch it from the start, the ad will appear at about the 1:58 mark. I don't know when it'll be available to play from the beginning at will, probably tomorrow.

Thanks for the clarification. I was not aware I was right in the middle of it.

Hopefully they will be able to have the video for download soon on the site.

The ad is funny! Love the part where Yao opened the overhead cabinlet while SITTING on the seat. He is darn tall! Reminded me of his under-and-over-basket backhand slams!

Yao now has a Dynasty T-shirt at NBA.com. I haven't seen it til now so I'm not sure if it has already been around or if it is new.

I didn't think this deserved it's own thread so I threw it here.

Oh my god, that's just plain *HIDEOUS*. The NBA needs to do better. Looks very much like a Metallica t-shirt, circa 1991.
