Lang Ping also said she has been closely following Yao Ming's footsteps from CBA all the way to NBA, and has been Yao Ming's fans. Ever since Yao Ming joined NBA, Yao Ming had been in contact with Lang Ping, but they had yet to meet in persons in the States. He had been inviting Lang Ping to go to Houston to see him play, and stay at his home for the past years or so.......But things never worked out, as Lang Ping was busy coaching the US women national team, as well as she has just undergone a surgery, and in process of rehabilitation. But she committed to Yao Ming sometimes in last December that she will go to Los Angeles to watch him play end March. Lang Ping did make the trip to Los Angeles; incidentally, 2 of the Chinese women volleyball stars, both 6 footers, Feng Kun 冯坤, captain of the national team, and Zhao Ruirui 赵蕊蕊 were there in Los Angeles, also in their rehabilitation over their leg surgeries. So Yao Ming arranged an elongated Lincoln limousine to pick up Lang Ping and the girls and friends to the 5-star hotel that the Rockets stayed, and spent Friday night over dinner with them at the hotel restaurant. He also bought tickets and invited them all to go to Staple Centres to watch the game of Rockets versus LA Lakers. Lang Ping took her daughter, Lang Lang along with her too. And they had a good time together....... Here are pictures of them over the dinner, as well as pictures of Lang Ping with her "students" in front of the Staple Centres when they went to rave and support Yao Ming in that nail-biting overtime win over the LA Lakers...............

the tall one is like the yao ming of volleyball... she is pretty dominating, and has lots of endorsement deals in china just like yao. if you didn't already have a gf, i thought they woulda hooked up hahah

Can you imagine their kids if they got together? Big and tall with the jumping ability and explosiveness of a volleyballer. That'd be crazy.
Damn, Lang Lang be looking pretty good. This thread has potential to become similar to the Jeff's thread about the Rocket's Towel chick. Hope you don't mind that I try to repost the pictures pruyen, as they weren't working for many of us here in the States. Hopefully it'll work this time.
Whenever I read the name of Zhao Ruirui, I just pray that CBA or Yao Ming himself won't repeat the same foolish mistake that the Chinese Volleyball Association did to Zhao Ruirui by rushing her back into action back in 2004 Olympic, when she just recovered from a 5-month injury, and not rehabilitated enough to return to action. It has been 3 years now since she re-injured herself in the Olympics, and surgeries after surgeries, and has yet to regain her competitive form and shape to be playing volleyball and for the national team again. That must be so frustrating for Zhao, who used to be one of the most dominating volleyball spiker in the international women volleyball....

AH HA! I remember why I kept on thinking I knew of Lang Ping from somewhere... A couple of years ago in Shanghai I was having lunch at the hyatt with my parents and she was sitting in the table beside us. At first I thought to my self ugh thats one big wierd looking chinese lady (shes pretty tall)... then my dad told me she was a really famous volleyball player!! WOW if I only knew that she was the heroin of my own hero YAO MING i would've got to the ground and worshiped her!!!! no matter how wierd she looked
damn, zhao ruirui and yao are made for each other! their first born son would be houston's first round pick in the 2027 draft! Hmm and maybe tmac will have a son too
The pretty girl you are talking about is not her daughter. That is Zhao Ruirui. My dream lover since her first appearance in a game.
