I met him and he was showing me and my cousin how to play basketball. but I guess this is the first impression of anyone who ever stand next to the man live (or to his wax model) He is HUGE. here is what it says about his model in the booklet... " YAO MING "Experience The Yao FActor" Yao Ming, star basketball player for the NBA Houston Rockets, first rose to fame as the "Little Giant" in his hometown of Shanghai when selected to represent China in the Chinese National Team at the 2000 Sydney (the actual thing actually mispelled Sydney...) Olympics at the age of 19. Since then, this 7'5'' tall powerhouse has become an international sports legend, winning his way into hearts of millions of fans around the world with his on-court charisma and stellar basketball moves. IN 2002, Yao was the irst foreign player ever to be the NBA's number one draft pick and signed as a center with the(another typo in the actual thing...) Houston Rockets. In the following year, Yao was also selected to enter Madame Tussaud's Hong Kong, making him the third largest celebrity figure , behind only the recently unveiled Incredible Hulk in London and New York and the huge Amsterdam Man , to have had a likenss cast in wax in over 200 years. During most of the creative process, the Madame Tussaud's sculptors had to stand on ladders to sculpt Yao's body, which required 50kg more clay than an average celebrity figure!
this old unfunny pic could be used as a model for pchan and the wax figure. and the guy (don't know if that's pchan) looks like he's only wearing socks. but seriously, that is a pretty cool wax fig. looks like they could have done something more to the jersey. also, are those reflector things on the shoes?
I dont know....thats not very good source material for a good chop....I could do it...but it wouldnt be very good. besides....methinks the mods got sick of the chopping phase that we had last time...
