What you people think? Will Yao be a Balla n show Shaq how to ball til they fall? Will he be better then Shaq ?
yeah he will be better cause he quicker and faster and he got skills to pay the bills. shaq, hes only good in the inside but yao he good in the out and inside of and the only thing shaq can do to stop him is injure him or block him
As much as I hope Yao could dominate Shaq, it probably won't happend this year. Yao may do better than most, but Shaq would probably win the matchup, barring an injury. But if Yao scores 15 while holding Shaq to 20-22, that could help the team a lot. Especially since he could give him fits. Who knows though? Yao may blow up for 70 holding shaq to 9.
The only way Shaq will stop Yao is if he give an ELBOw to da face. Yao will be a balla n a shot calla. Ming will not handle Shaq. Not Tomorrow. Not in 2007. Would you people even be considering that possibility if Yao had been drafted by Golden St. or some other team? I thought not. Reality.
What if Shaq looses both legs and half his brains? I think even Jason Collier could dominate him then. Seriously, I agree that Ming probably won't beat him this year or maybe for a few years. But in 2007? I think it is possible if Shaq still plays. By then Shaq would be in his late 30's while Yao would start to be in his prime.
I think in a couple years once Yao gets da feel of the game here in da states he will be able to compete wit Shaq maybe not truly dominate but give shaq hard times
I have a question. Everyone talks about how Shaq gets all the "respect" call. Well, now that Yao is Stern's new Golden Boy, with a billion people behind him, who will these "respect" calls go to? I'm trying to say, who will be "helped out" by the referees in a Ming vs. Shaq matchup? Would Stern let Ming look bad?

Yao is an unproven big who may or may not have the drive and hunger to improve his game to the point where he can be comparable to Diesel. Shaq is far and away the most physically dominate man in all of sports today. Yao has to prove that he can handle Tony Battie before annointing him King Ming and the overthrower of Shaq. And being the Rock fan that I am, I wish him nothing but the best although I do have my reservations. Many of these people were the same ones believing that Bryce Drew would be a premier pg before he ever played a game. And no, I'm not comparing Drew to Ming. I'm comparing reactions before seeing the product on the floor.
