Two aging stars who have passed their prime and are injury prone.
Both players careers are in jeopardy.

So the question is which retires from the NBA first

They both will play well past their 30's. I'm thinking maybe 35 years a piece...

Will Tracy ever lose his 2nd round virginity?

Will either of them win a championship? It'd be epic if the 2011 NBA Championships ended up being between Houston and New York:

    T-mac/Lebron/Lee on Knicks

    vs.

    Martin/Bosh/Yao on Houston

McGrady won't be in the league by this time next year. Yao will be dropping 18/8 a night and anchoring the middle for an eventual 55+ wins team.

55 Wins might be a bit of a stretch.

not if we hire Avery Johnson ( who knows actually how to coordinate talent and run a decent defensive system.) and get stoudemire, Big z and mike miller/manu ginobli

Avery Johnson could get us 55+ wins. Just hope we don't run into the Warriors in the 1st round.

Seriously, Adelman is a better coach than Avery. And if Yao is healthy and Martin comes around and a nice offseason is put together by Morey, 50+ or even 55+ is possible for this team

I think Tmac goes first, not because he can't be an effective player, but because he can't handle being 3rd banana on a team and making peanuts.

Look at what Iverson is going through this year, that will be Tmac soon enough. I can see a coach benching him for not playing hard on D and Tracy retiring the next day.

If Yao's foot is fully healed for good, I can see him playing well into his 30's, like Big Z, who hasn't had any major injuries since his surgery.

Wow so Avery Johnson could get 55+ wins from a team of:

    Yao Ming
    Amare Stoudamire
    Ginobili
    Kevin Martin
    Aaron Brooks

Is there a coach that could actually NOT get 55+ wins from that team?

Retire? Didn't McGrady quit working a year or two ago?

Mcgrady retires next year or in two years. I think unless Yao gets another huge injury then mcgrady retires first. Wh
