To go along with his resurgence as a player, I say Yao needs a makeover of his image as well. Time for him to look more like a bada$$ on the court. Here are a few possibilities:

goatee is acceptable for him amd most chinese fans. the previous prime minsyer of china . en lai zhou is that style.
I'd go with the Fu Manchu as well. I mean not to be sterotyping or whatever but whenever I see an asian guy with that I am like man that fool has to know like kung fu or something. Yao's intimidation factor would rise 10 fold. It'd be awesome too if he grew his hair out too along with the fu
The Facial Hair ones are cool, but I don't think Yao can grow it out like that. He will have to shave his pubes and glue it to his face or something. Or buy one, love the stripers do when they can't show everything.
I say fear the fro'. the only thing scarier than a 7'6 Yao when running into the lane is a 7'10 Yao. At that height, I wonder if 6 footers will even be able to see the hoop. I call it the "Kim Jong 'that thang is' IL!" style.
