He passed to pg numerous times in the game that resulted in TO when he could have just shot it. He's been doing that alot lately. Tonight it cost us, he was hot in the last few minutes of the game and passed to head, resulting in a turnover. Yao needs to shoot more when he has a chance.

Dont know about that when Yao gets no respect from the refs.
sure he can shoot, but he also could get fouled and dont get the call.

He was being fronted by 2 7 footers the whole game, he played with fire and down the stretch he made some big plays,No tracy and the guys competed and could have pulled the game off. They will beat Dallas and phoenix if they play this way.

When was the last time yao have zero FT? the ref simply sucked today overall for both side (especially vs. yao).

I think Yao did correct way. He knew he could not win the game by himself, and must let other guys involved!

Everyone has an off night here and there. It was a very physical game with basically no-calls. Can't really complain about the refs because I think we got some calls go our way and we got some no-calls, but once again, with no T-Mac out there and Yao having an off-night, it was a good showing by the role players.

Shane and Luis were outstanding tonight! We have plenty of time to make a push for the playoffs, it is better for us to get our bench their confidence up and get some on-court chemistry. Good showing by the Rockets in a hostile building.

This is what's supposed to happen. This is not a bad thing.

We are witnessing the transition of the "one-dimensional post-up all the time" Yao to the "well-rounded" Yao. Once the Adelman offense gets in sync, Yao will be passing. A lot. We will get many easy baskets. This will be fun to watch.

took about 16 to 17 shots and made 30%? He did the right thing to pass it off.

Normally he will, but even at 40%, he's still just as likely as the next guy to hit a shot, unless someone else is hot.
He acts like he shouldn't shoot unless he is on fire, which isn't good.

The "one-dimensional post-up all the time" guy was throwing up 35/15/8/4 type performances when McGrady was out last year. I want that guy back, and I want a coach who figured out how to beat the front.

FFS I thought Adelmen would be that guy, but until his team can learn to move without the ball then Yao can't play the high post and will be fronted every till he faints.

Didn't you notice that Yao was even being fronted in the high post? They just didn't want him to touch the ball and were getting the calls and no-calls to be allowed to keep doing it.

Either Yao needs to relearn to create his shot off the dribble from 22 feet, like he could do early in his NBA career or Duncan can do, or they need to find some new plays. Waiting for the other guys to open up and hit shots was not working since the Spurs stayed with the front until the last 5 minutes of the 4th even though Scola and others were killing them with open jumpers.

    7 - 2 =5

He got a horrible call like the third this year when a gurad cut to the basket and his defender flop on yao.
And Oberto FLOOOOOOOOOOP give Yao another T.O.

Ya have 0 respect and less when they play the spurs on of the team that have all the calls in the world. David Stern love the Spurs.

yao_fan_2007 is that you? Do you even care that despite those numbers, we lost all the time without T-Mac? Yao using his whole repertoire is best for the team and role players. TEAM FIRST!

I agree with you 100% Yao will never be great till he reaches the point of wanting to score and won't let anything or anybody stop him:p
