We lost to Jassholes but I don't blame Yao though he struggled in the first half. It's the 4th game in 5 days, and the 2nd game in back-to-back on the road. Though horribly officiated, Yao still played his ass off, got 19pts/7rbs/6ast. Can't blame the big fella.
5 blocks too. That's a very versatile game. It's a game you would expect a guy like Dwyane Wade, Josh Smith or Gerald Wallace to get. http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=290304026
except he should shoot better than 7/18 and should get more rebounds. Utah sucks as a place for Yao to perform.
If he chose to play "Physical" he'd be fouled out in the first six minutes of the game, he reacted well to the double and he imposed his will at the basket, nothing but appreciation of what he after he got whacked hard each and every time, just look at this arms.
Yao did a good job against the Jazz, and he was clearly gassed down the stretch. But he and the rest of the team really got outworked on the boards. It's just frustrating how many balls squirt out of his hands. Its at least 4 or 5 a game. Does that happen to any other player more frequently?
Not to mention its a high altitude game which kills stamina. I definitely think Yao played well. Rick Adelman needs some more plays during crunch time. I don't understand why a Scola/Lowry pick and roll won't work, they're both great midrange shooters.
You are right! Tonight just like one of playoff games. The true defense & offense are showing. We need some one stands out on the side of Yao to beat the Jasshole! Yao is a warrior in this game!
I don't know why Yao keep struggle against those faggots especially that bird head looking Boozer...i hate that fool. I still think Yao is being intimidated and can't play to his true potential due to past history against the Jazz. I don't know why he has a hard time backing up Mehkurt and why he fall too easily ...
It kills stamina? I believe when Iverson played in Denver he said he never got tired. Yao also killed Denver at Denver...
Right, I wont blame anyone, even we were not well in rebs, but we shown our consistence, that is great and also we need most. Go, ROCKETS!
He was just about to bounce back, and referee took him out. It was almost like conspiracy to me, they first deliberately sacrifice Okur, in order to get the bigger fish out of H-town I am so sick of this way of officiating, sick to death.... ~~~~~
Yao did this on a b2b and playing 4 games in five nights. Yao also gets no respect by the refs. I can't wait to face the Jazz again it will be a different outcome.
Come on.. everyone knows this. Less oxygen at higher altitudes. If interested please read: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1114067
Yao did a great job tonight, against dirty defense of Boozer, Okur, and refs. All Rockets played good, though Aaron is overwhelmed by Deron. The coach is not doing well, IMO.
Yao tried his best but Utah released their poisonous air upon Yao, making him crumble to his knees in the 4th.
Yao still has too many balls hit his hands which he needs to grab... unless he does that, we will have a tough time against physical teams like utah
considering he's going against one player shoving him and 3 men ready to call anything imaginable on him, he was pretty impressive.
I noticed that the refs swallowed their whistles when Yao jumped with arms straight up to challenge a shot. Perhaps a sign that Yao's finally getting respect from the officials... even if it's just a little bit. On another note, about half of Yao's fouls are due to Jazz players putting on an Oscar performance to enhance the (sometimes nonexistent) contact. There's a special place in hell for the Utah Jazz and its dirty ways.
