Look at :15 Seconds. Racism, jealousy or just randomly chosen in the commercial? Why is Yao in this commercial?

Yeah but why would they show him in a picture talking about Cap and Trade?

    Randomly chosen is more likely.

Rick Perry was together with Yao in a press conference on April 27th of this year at the Chinese Consulate in Houston to pre-celebrate the 2010 Shanghai World EXPO and Chinese/Texas "Friendly Relationship."

none of the pictures make much sense, so it's really just a very poorly produced commercial.

Ha ha. Not too familiar with marketing? Nothing random goes into these ads. Every photo and word of that video was intended to send a message. What message is a photo of Bill White with Yao under the words "Cap and Trade" sending? I guess you'd have to ask someone at all likely to vote for Rick Perry. My guess is that it simply helps to convey an overall sense of uncomfortable "otherness" about White, a Liberal Trial Lawyer who MAY OR MAY NOT BE in the pocket of the powerful CHINESE athletic lobby. It's a pretty amusing photo, too, making him seem as though he isn't a serious candidate.

Here's to Bill White AND Yao doing big things this year!

Is this even an official Rick Perry video? It looks like it was made as a class project.

*Sigh* Political Ads season. My best guess is that putting Bill White next to Yao makes him look like a 'small man'....which is funny considering Gov. Perry's lilliputian stature.

I hope and pray that this is it. If, indeed they are using Yao as a symbolic image of China's influence over Bill White..then shame on them.

Obviously because Bill White said the NBA's salary cap and trade rules don't go far enough. He must be referring to the Gasol situation.

If Rick Perry really wanted to thrash White he should have shown a picture of
    Bill standing next to T-mac.
