Ugh... this doesn't look good for the Rockets. :(

We absolutely need the game tomorrow if we want to win this series, and without Yao, I don't think it's possible to win tomorrow.

Eh, this is the best news you could hope for, not sure why the negativity. Of course he has a sprain at a minimum. The key is that tests seem to have ruled out anything worse, and as long as Yao isn't risking serious harm to himself, he'll play. He's a warrior. He won't be 100%, but I think we all knew that last night.

a less than 100% yao is a poor man's zydrunas illgasukus, but at least zydrunas doesnt get blocked by midgets.

he should sit himself out. im more than confident hayes and landry can hold their own.

I don't see Yao sitting out unless they uncover something serious tomorrow.

Yao is really bad in the Lakers' up tempo style. I say, start him, but reduce his minutes and give them to Landry/Hayes and play Scola at center more.

If we had Mutombo, I think we can beat the Lakers even without Yao. If Yao sits out on Sunday, it will be hard going small for both units, but I wouldn't be surprised if we won the game b/c Chuck Hayes has been playing great.

Jason on Twitter says Yao didn't practice and will be a game time decision tomorrow.

I hope his ankle feels better overnight because the team needs him.

Mutombo would have been in the same boat as Yao. The only difference is Yao can score. The Lakers would have been a bad match-up for Deke.

I hate to say this but outside of game 1 the Rockets have been better without him. If Adelman was not so stubborn this series could be 2-1 or even 3-0 in the Rockets favor.

I wouldn't mind seeing Scola start at C and Chuck Hayes at PF.

we should not play the up tempo game. that's not our strength. the guards should control the pace of the game a little better.

Crazy? The second unit with Chuck and Carl is constantly erasing the lead that Yao and Scola are giving the Lakers.
