I second that. Alston's boneheaded plays piss me off, JVG's stubborness is keeping Alston on the floor.

we are losing all of these games with 1-2 points max. this is with tmac who is probably our best clutch scorer and closer missing games.

don't jump back on the bandwagon when tmac comes back healthy and rockets start winning again.

Rafer is the only Rocket who can handle the ball. JVG should have posted Bonzi a little more IMO

Um...well...I think it would be the a more correct statement to say that we will not win a championship with our second best player and primary play maker injured.

That would be a much more reasonable assessment of our situation.

    One star.

How about JL3? I rather have him bring up the ball if it means it can keep rafer on the bench?

It takes him like ten seconds to set up the most basic and predictable offense in the NBA...he's ****, he's Francis minus the spectacular finishes

That's a big part of the problem. JL3 and V-Span obviously aren't ready. Right now, we have a starter who should be a backup with two scrubs playing behind him. I'll say it again: The Rockets will trade for a PG before the deadline.

How about with just one? JVG as the head coach OR Rafer Alston as the PG?

the point is Rafer should go, he should not be in this team.

    I agree.

It's stupid that people on this board have a tendency to trash Rafer Alston. I myself don't like him as a starting PG, and I consistently post on another board saying that he makes me sick. Anyways, he is our only ball handler. When Luther tries to run that role, he makes many mistakes. He wouldn't be able to break the press in pressure situations.

JL3, I don't know if people remember but he made two crucial mistakes last time he was in the clutch.

    V-Span, I don't know.

Face it, Rafer is our only PG and he is really a back up, but instead we are starting him since we really have no choice.

Actually, when Tmac is healthy, Rafer should be good enough for this team, he can bring the ball to front court, he can hit open 3, that's enough.

V-Span and JL3 are just as good at handling the ball.

V-SPan is a much better defender and passer than Rafer.

    JL3 is a better shooter.

However, neither is perfect....but JVG needs to be playing one of them....Rafer SUCKS to be playing this many minutes.

JVG is not the problem, our talent level is. Sorry to break it to you guys. But even if we had [instert favorite coach here] and TMac doesn't recover we still wouldn't iwn.

I knew this thread was gonna say Alston as point guard as soon as I read the title.

    More like

Yao and TMac will never win a championship with...out T-Mac playing.
