29-10. That's a 74% win percentage. You average that out over 82 games and that's 61 wins. The Rockets are just THAT good and elite when both play.

I've tracked every game of the season with or without them. I don't count the games where either of them had to exit early as them playing a game. So by my count, there record goes like this:

    29-10 with T-Mac and Yao
    2-5 without T-Mac
    20-10 without Yao
    0-4 without both

So when healthy, we'er in Spurs/Suns territory.... Awesome...

Does anyone know the record of this specific line-up:

    Yao, Hayes, Battier, McGrady, Alston

I'm sure there's a website where I can find this... Can someone refer me or tell me?

Hayes missed a few games, Battier played some PF, so I assume our recordw ith that line-up is even better than 74% winning percenteage...

What is their percentage when they play together against teams with a winning record?

The +/- figures on that starting lineup alone are among the best in the league, just gos to show how great of a team we can be if we can aquire some decent depth.

Sorry to let you down Chance.

The reason I asked was because I wanted to compare the win % of them together to the big boys in the league. Wouldn't say I am surprised by their win % together, but pretty happy about it headed into the playoffs.

ya it's not our starting lineup that kills us...it's who comes off the bench. thats the diff between us, spurs and dallas.

not bashing rafer but we need a back up pg.

see how when rafer stepped up the scoring..we won both games. yao/mac combines for close to 50 pts..and that third scorer chips in 15-20 plus others we get a high scoring game. combine that with our defense we are a solid team.

If Stevie can come back next year and agree to come off bench. Luther and Stevie would be a great back court combination.

The Rockets are 27-7 with the lineup of rafer, t-mac, battier, chuck hayes and yao ming. Equaling 64 wins.

if tmac and yao can play 82 games relatively healthy (which won't happen), we can challenge for the best record in the L in the reg. season. and i'm being serious.

we could have more wins not discountng the games where tmac/yao came back from injuries and still relatively very rusty. and a few games we choked after leading by 20+.

You probably missed this line in his post, "I don't count the games where either of them had to exit early as them playing a game."

Yeah, reading helps. Do you call Yao playing a game for 5 minutes or Tracy playing a game for 7 as really playing in a game and effectively participating? By my count, 20-10.
