Yao got doubled and tripled once he got the ball most time. 23 mins Pts 16 FG 7/7 FT 2/6 OR 3 DR 3 BLK 2 OK stat. not bad
ok stats..a little low on the boards...but I imagine they were doing their damnedest to keep him out of position. on a related note... How many more games are left in this tourney? When are the finals?

He would have been a good addition for cheap and a good companion for Yao to have someone to talk to during the game. Get an idea of what he's doing out there on the court or get an idea of how the team is playing him from a 3rd person point of view. Translator is great and all but during a fast paced game I'm sure Yao would rather have it told to him in chinese instead of english to chinese.
Damnit I hope this helps Yao get better..... One thing for sure he is getting a beating playing in those games........especially from less talented players that play over there
If I don't see Yao does this at least once during every game in the coming season, I will be really disappointed !!
I'm watching the game on NBATV right now. All the Qatar players seem to be Americans. There's only a couple arab guys on the team, stuck at the end of the bench. Qatar is fronting Yao the whole game and denying him touches so far. It looks like the point guards have no idea how to get him the ball.
Lots of countries just "buy" American players and give these players citizenships to play for their teams.
