I was wondering about Walton, torn ligament in his foot sounds like it should keep him out the rest of the season, guys get plantar fasciitis and they're out for months.
I'm not surprised about Yao feeling sore again. We had that scare at the end of the regular season and frankly I'm a bit surprised that he made it through the Portland series. This is causing me a lot of concern again. I digress,I thought Cuttino had made it to the 2nd round with us but our last 2nd round appearance was in 1997. Thanks for reminding me of that ClutchCity 3.
Yeah it's like when Dallas played us in round 1 in 2005...and Keith Van Horn got hurt in game 3, and they took off after that.
do you think we hear about chuck hayes' sore ankles? Or brent Barry's? Even wafer's? A sore ankle isn't that uncommon and isn't always serious or a sign of overplaying. It happens. Not just to Yao but to the rest of the league, it just gets magnified because it's Yao. His tooth could be sore and we'd hear about it...

I 100% agree, it forced Avery to go small and it hurt the Rockets...well that and Finley being out of bounds...otherwise the Rockets win in 6. DD
It gets magnified b/c he's in uncharted territory. There has never been a player of his size, strength, and mobility. Of course the medical staff is going to take notice when he has foot/ankle/leg problems. Especially since he's had those injuries before.
