http://sports.sohu.com/20040804/n221354076.shtml According to YangYi, Yao can bench push 140kg (308lb?) now. And he still has stamina problem according to LiuWei (the CNT PG). Yao was exhausted at the end of the Austrilia game.
Great! About 50 more pounds and he'll be able to just pick Shaq up and throw him off the court next time Shaq posts him up!
Nah, that's what ESPN reports. Shaq in real life is much heavier than 340. In fact, his goal of the offseason was to trim down to 345 lbs, and reports are saying he's currently missing that by a large margin.
Yeah you're right. 2 guys on a message board who have never met Shaq would know more than ESPN and the NBA...what was I thinking?
1) Picking a guy up and throwing them off the court mainly utilizes back muscles, not chest muscles. 2) Most people know that Shaq is considerably more than 340.
Com'on! I want to see this Throw-A-Shaq thing happenning at least once before Shaq quit on the Heats.
Don't get defensive and cut the rolling eyes please. I heard many times on Radio that Shaq requested ESPN/NBA to list his weight as 340 lbs. In real life, many people say, or just by the way he looks, that he weights alot more than 340. He is embarrassed to tell his real weight, and as I posted before, he is trying to cut it to 345 this summer, and he's not succeeding so far.
cmon, you guys aren't even thinking, even if he was 345, yao wouldn't be throwing him naked, with streetday clothes you have to add at least 10-12 more lbs, and at least 5 lbs for his nba gear, and if he's wearing bling bling and has a thick wallet, that could be an additional 3.728 to 5.2947 lbs. cmon, think before you post.
Ha ha. I was thinking the same thing. My two cents: Shaq weighs a lot. It would be tough for Yao or anyone to throw him. It would be great to see it though.
