YahooSports: Jamal Crawford Out

I know there's a lot of mixed opinions about this guy, but I really like Crawford. I'm not quite sure what his market value is but he's worth taking a look at with our MLE.

 

Blazers fans hated his guts throughout last season..

 

Sent his letter? A letter? What is this, 1890?

 

Reasoning?

All I know is that he's pretty good in 2k and has some mad crossover skills on youtube.

 

Contracts generally require such things.
That's why they call it show business and not show friends.

 

What, actual letters? Emails usually work brah.

 

Shot 38% last year, 32 years old, somebody will sign him but I don't think he'll see another multi year deal.

 

If I were an agent and a client was required to notify their team by a specific day, in writing, then the policy would be that notification is going to be via certified letter. That does not prevent you from also sending an email but it proves that the information was provided and received by that date.

Let's say you send an email and it is not read by the due date. While you can argue that you complied by submitting written notification you still put yourself in a position where there is a question that potentially involves legal fees for paper ping-pong.

With the certified letter you have proof. I can't imagine dealing with contracts such as these in any other way.

 

yeah, that man is clutch. he single handedly destroyed the magic last year in the playoffs.

 

Lollll....if only all GMs used your scouting methods. Oh wait, I think Micheal Jordan actually DID.....

 

As in a contract for more than one year? Of course he will.
