    Yeahhhh, it's gonna be a LOOOOONG time before SpaceX is allowed to do anything of consequence. That's two launch mishaps in the span of a year.

    Pretty sure if NASA and the Air Force hadn't given SpaceX contracts, SpaceX wouldn't have a viable business. The government is still by far the largest user of these launches. There isn't enough private commercial activity to finance an operation like SpaceX.

    Pretty sure NASA and Air Force can't do what SpaceX can do for them as cheap as SpaceX does it. So yes, SpaceX depends on government, but government can't get nearly as much done without them
