I think we are 1 trade away from title contention. I really would LOVE Al Horford on this team. Atlanta playing him a Center kind of hurt his career. Playing Power Forward next to Dwight would get him back to all star status, and possibly improve Dwight.

    Thanks, tinman.

    GRRRRRRRR!!!!

He's hungry (and fockassed) .......we're going to dominate this year.

It starts tomorrow with a good ole fashioned butt kicking of the Lakers.

When Dream told him that he thinks Dwight can be MVP, that's the challenge right there. Dream challenged you Dwight. Now no Kevin Durant for awhile, it's on you.

He should be every bit confident. Dwight is finally getting healthy again and if he's anywhere near Orlando Dwight, watch out. He's done it before and single handedly carried a crappy magic team all the way to the nba finals. With a better team, even a slightly less version of Dh12 should be able to get the job done. People just love to hate on him and make stuff up.

So we lost in 7 games huh, how do reporters around the NBA start taking their job seriously and start doing the research before they publish?

I think this team as constructed will probably finish again in the 4-5 spot. It's the playoffs where I'm not too sure how we'll do. It's gonna be fun to watch how this team gels together along with whoever DM gets in December or at the trade deadline

No way Dwight will have an MVP season. You are in for a big disappointment if expect him to give 100% effort in the RS.

He's become a different player mentally after the surgery. He is fully capable of being the Orlando Dwight but we will only see that in spurts. His career had peaked and he is doing what every star veteran is doing: prolonging their career by cruising in the RS and saving the best for the post season.

Howard says Call of Duty is "the best thing life." He must not be serious about competing for a championship.

I agree with you 100%. People keep saying Milsap but I believe that Horford would be a better fit.

We should've traded Parsons with Asik for Horford.. We did nothing with Parson. That's the only problem. And Asik is in our own division :/

Dwight was pretty good last year and we couldn't get out of the 1st round. Its really more about harden than dwight. We know Dwight can play well in the playoffs.

all talk, 1/2 action... DH is a decent, top 5 centers. Nothing more, nothing less. Forget about carry Houston to the elite, let's just worry about making the playoff and win a freaking series.

EEEEFFFFF ESPN and everyone else who thinks we need more elite players. If we (the rockets) show some integrity on both sides of the court. Meaning, showing dicipline on defense (reducing lapses in assignments and positioning), hitting the better, open, in-rhythm shots, early and smart entry passes to Howard, Howard quickly passing out of double teams to open people, McHale holding players accountable and be dilligent on coaching integrity, this IS already a championship team if EVERYONE did all of those things aforementioned and some others because it would take me a lot. These things are being done by the most prolific, winning team in that last decade or so - that's the SAN ANTONIO SPURS. They don't say to themselves, we need that extra star to be champions. The players are not saying, I need to be the scoring champion. They are all saying can't wait to get that next ring! All the while, we're looking for the better car to add to our collection. That is all.

    He's also a top 10 center, a top 12 center, a top 34 center, and a top 1 center.

Of course Houston is a contender. The question is are they more contenderish than the other contenders?

It would be cool to have both the NFL MVP and NBA MVP come from Houston teams.
