    i say go after him, lookin at Chacon and Williams pitch makes me cringe

    I'd sign him if it was a low dollar contract. I am not sure that he would be better than either Chacon or Sampson, but if Sampson is stuggling, he still has minor league options and Vargas is a half run over league average ERA.

    He's probably not a very good candidate to pitch at MMP. His GB% is in the mid-30s, and he gives up a lot home runs. That spells disaster in MMP IMHO.

    MMP is a pitchers park despite it's reputation. it's also in the middle tier for homeruns allowed.

    I understand that MMP is a pretty neutral park, but with 35% Groundball Percentage, I feel that he'd always be at a major disadvantage in preventing cheap homeruns at the Crawford Box compared to an opposing pitcher who probably would have a better GP%.
