This has pretty much been my point for all of the birth control discussion. Both sides using women for their own gain, trouncing them in the process. http://news.yahoo.com/this-campaign-needs-more-women-and-less-gynecology.html
You're seriously equating the two? Obama just said that if Fluke was his daughter he would be proud of her for standing up and speaking out for issues that matter to her. All he said was that it is important for young people to engage in public discourse on issues that are important to them. But apparently that's a problem in your world. And that is somehow "using women" for his own gain? And not only that but that's also somehow equal to the comments that Limbaugh threw out.
1. Read the article. I didn't write it. 2. Calling a 30 year old woman to "make sure she was OK" and comparing her to his daughters is patronizing.
Kiss my ass misogynist white trash. better? Poor Casey. You know conservatives are on the wrong side of these issues and are bleeding like a period the women's vote. The only way to find a way to neutralize the loses is the tired meme that both sides are using the issue to their advantage. And now you're going to whine because Democrats/women are pushing back? Conservatives have made their choice so suck it up!
The only ignorance I see is from stupid ****s such as you trying to claim that both parties are the same when it comes to women and their issues. The democrats are running 6 women for senate seats and about 35 out of the 76 congressional seats in 2012 are women candidates. What are republicans doing? Shall I list all of the draconian laws being pushed in republican controlled state legislatures this fall?
From the article I posted and you didn't read And from a poll she referenced http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-...birth-control-as-77-in-poll-spurn-debate.html Democrats aren't winning anything with this patronizing white knight attack.
This is the same old game. Conservative X makes disgusting comments concerning (insert minority group here), Democrats come to defense of (insert minority group here), conservative X gives a faux apology and then goes on a rant about how Democrats are pandering to (insert minority group here). *Snore*
Except it isn't at all like that. 1. Women are not a minority, they are the majority. 2. No one claimed pandering, the article said both sides are getting it wrong. 3. The president calling a 30 year old to make sure if they are OK after a blowhard called them a bad word. Then he compared the 30 year old to his 11 year old daughter That isn't defending them. It is patronizing them. Literally patronizing.
Except it is like that. Women are a minority in terms of power. You're just doing exactly what I said. Thanks.
Here's a great 'phony gynecological issue' PA GOP Governor Defends Ultrasounds Bill: Tells Concerned Women ‘You Just Have To Close Your Eyes’ QUESTION: Making them watch…does that go too far in your mind? CORBETT: I’m not making anybody watch, OK. Because you just have to close your eyes.
There is no medical need for that ultrasound, it is just to prevent people from getting abortions. Therefore it is phony.
because you didn't read the article and can only see obvious political exploitation and sexism when it comes from someone you disagree with politically.
