Another Lawyer in Saddam Trial Gunned Down
    AP - 1 hour, 1 minute ago

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Three gunmen in a speeding car killed a defense lawyer in the Saddam Hussein trial and wounded another Tuesday, raising doubts whether Iraqis can conduct such a sensitive prosecution in the midst of insurgency and domestic turmoil. The assassination of Adel al-Zubeidi, who was representing former Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan, in a predominantly Sunni Arab neighborhood in Baghdad was the second attack targeting the defense team since the trial began less than a month ago.

Just go ahead and bring the guy into town square and fry 'em up. That would suit him right.

Why would anyone want to kill Saddam's defense lawyers? Are they afraid that Saddam would somehow be acquitted?

I'd think it's one of his men.

Isn't it about time to consider moving the trial out of Iraq?

I don't get it, either. Why would anyone want to kill the lawyers...unless their trying to make a statement that if you represent Saddam and his henchmen...then you deserve to die? Obviously, the Sunnis wouldn't be doing the killings then.

Those lawyers have some balls. I'll give them that.

Edit: Oh...I think the bad people are just trying to delay the trial in anyway possible. The best way is to kill off the defense lawyers who slack with the security.

The ones who are afraid of the dirty little secrets being exposed during the Saddam trials definitely have a vested interest in sabotaging the denfense lawyers.

The possibilities are unlimited... just use the god given imagination...
