Maybe thats why they are waiting on McGrady? To make sure he gets back healthy and they can make one final run,
if yao comes too quickly back he's gona hurt himself again just running up and down the court and his career will be over we gotta be patient with our center
there is no way you bring him back this year. he has had too many surgeries on that foot so you have to be extra careful.
If Yao is healed in March and we still at the end of April, I think we should bring Yao back for a championship run.
Maybe after seeing the Rockets without TMac and Yao, Morey likes what he sees. He'd save about $40 million a year and still has a quality product.
I don't see what the extra time accomplishes once he's completely healthy. The chance of him re-injuring himself seems to be the same to me. Of course, the rust factor would be the main concern to me.
oh of course he wont be back this season thats not the point I took from it but rather that Yao is healing better than expected which is great news. This is more for next season Yao being 100% before the end of the season will give him much more time to train and get back in basketball shape as well as have a full training camp so he can start next season without missing a beat and not having to work his way back to having that timing he used to have.
Don't fool yourself, this team will make it interesting, but definitely no championship contender without tmac and yao.
what's with you and wishing knote32 if they have been healthy throughout the entire tenure, we probably has one ring by now.
Always good to hear recovery is faster than expected. We can only hope that this is the last time Yao have to go through this.
First McGrady, now Yao!?!? WHY DONT THE ROCKETS WANT TO PLAY THEIR HIGHEST PAID PLAYERS? On a more serious note, I think Yao can help us win a title. Weather he stays healthy next season should effect re-signing him.
I'd see them play Yao in limited minutes, if we were going to the Finals but I doubt any other scenario where they would bring him back early and risk injury. Now that you mention it, they did do that to Mutumbo that same way his last few years here. No minutes in the regular season except when absolutely necessary and then extended play in the playoffs.
Lol. No. Yeah, we're doing pretty good. But that doesn't mean we're better off without Yao or someone with Yao's value.
