Interesting...I read on ESPN that there was some talk about Jefferson being on the block but rather quickly dismissed by Stein. Jefferson being available would be something Morey should inquire about or probably already has.

Not surprised by what Bird is doing. Granger is only thing that he has going. Al isn't bad,but that injury has hurt his trade value.

Since I doubt that Yahoo! is inventing its stories, I'll say how hilarious these GMs and their lies can be.

Of course they can't come out and say "I want to trade such-and-so", but still.

Why not trade Tmac (and smaller-contract players) for Jefferson, Jefferson for Bosh? Bosh to the Rockets? Minnesota's expirings (to even out the deal) to us?

Kahn was supposedly keeping an eye on Tmac earlier this year and was recently quoted as saying he'd want an asset from us in any sort of deal (wish I could remember the direct quote).

Jefferson's decline this year has been so frustrating to witness. I still remember how sick I was when he went down lat year.

Jefferson's the no.3 guy in Minny behind Love and Flynn. A straight swap of Jefferson for Granger looks like a downgrade/bad trade for the Pacers to me.

Were the T-Wolves willing to take on Murphy/Dunleavy or both for expiring contracts as well?

Jefferson for Granger is an ENTIRELY different kind of proposal to the one Houston would be trying to engineer with McGrady for Granger.

We wouldn't be offering them 'talent' in the deal, rather the chance to dump a bad contract (not Granger - but whoever else they send) and start heading the team in a new direction.

Jefferson for Granger is saying 'how about Jefferson as your cornerstone' - it's a different kind of deal.

Bad trade, why Bird pull the trigger on that given Jefferson is coming back from a very serious injury.

Even, the nonsensical NBA trade Machine rejected the trade.

I was watching and it made me sick to my stomach. Reminded me of when Deuce McCallister of the Saints was reaching for a high pass and blew out his knee. Whenever I see a player extend high into the air while leaning backward and land on one leg while extending the other one forward like a punter, I think of Deuce (and now Big Al too).

I really like Jeff, but - at this tempo? To the time cut of Scola or Landry? Who would it take to make the deal?

Jeff moved? Why not, but where? Miami for Haslem and Beez?

That last part of your quote caught my eye.

Kevin Love and Jefferson being jealous of each other.

So I guess this means Jefferson is available in/for the right move or deal?

I'd rather have Jefferson than Bosh.

Screw David Kahn. Seriously. I hope he fails in every professional endeavor he undertakes from here on out. That's what he gets for giving Rubio (and the rest of the NBA-viewing public) the ultimate shaft.

I am positive he got his job by telling the T-Wolve (Three Wolf Moon) presidents that they just need to negotiate harder to be a better team. Yeah. Don't even worry about that whole talent evaluation aspect...

Good sense - hold on to your meal ticket when it's all you have left.

Wolves have to be really pessimistic about his chances to offer big for small, regardless of current performance.

    granger > jefferson (post-injury)

    jefferson > granger (before injury)
