We can't compete with a that deal of Favors and draft picks.

Well if this deal does go thru then good luck sinffing a ring Melo. But then again a core of Lopez, Harris and Melo could potentially be good enough.

This would be my favorite scenario other than us getting him.

    1. The Nets will go pass the Knicks in terms of playoff contention.
    2. The Knicks will have no way of upgrading their talent at least for now. And their capspace next year will be worthless
    3. Melo on the Nets means one less western conference foe than if Melo stays around in Denver.

Overall, would be glad if this is true.

Not too bad for Houston. At least, Melo won't go to the knicks.

BINGO!!! Although I think NJ is stupid for doing this. This is like trading a rookie Durant away for Tmac.

Always looking at the brightside of things...

    1) One less team to worry about and sets up homecourt advantage nicely for the Rockets in the playoffs.

    2) Their vets are going to become available and Morey might be able to pickup someone like Andersen with that T/E.

Pretty good trade for Nuggets, Favors and draft picks (Warriors lottery pick).

I hope we're one of the side teams and get something out of this.

Wasn't Avery just saying he had no desire to trade their new shiny toy?

    and

I lawl at folks calling said shiny toy a cant miss superstar before he sets foot one on the court...you guys do realize that not all top drafted rooks fulfill their supposed impacts? Sure you do...

Problem is that with Voltron, Suerman and the Chicago Jazz, it will be a very diffcult ride for Melo and throw in the Big 3 in Boston for 1 or 2 more years....bad move by Melo.

If this happens Morey should try and swoop in and acquire something as the 3rd or 4th team. Melo would be nice in Red but as long as the Knicks don't get significantly better then we are ok.

NJ with Melo (as constructed) aren't a real threat to anyone. Maybe a playoff team in the East but not Faker/cHeat status.

I too think this will likely happen, its great value for Denver if they get Favors, future picks, and cap relief. On the other hand, I don't know how much difference even a guy like Melo could make on a team that won only 19 games last year. If the reason he wants to leave Denver is to make a worthy opponent to Miami, LA, then NJ does not make sense at all.

This is exactly my opinion, too. Try to get Melo but if not, send him away from the Knicks.

    YES !!!!

Now if Morey can get in there and help facilitate the trade and get something back we are good to go.....
