i think NO gets the better of the deal. scrubs on both ends.

 

why, if they are scrubs then Philly gets a prospect to work with.

Could just be that New Orleans needed to balance its roster.

This trade gives them two things they didn't have before:

(1) A veteran SG (they only had Thornton and Belinelli on the roster)

(2) An outside-shooting C (neither Emeka nor Aaron Gray are much of a threat from long distance)

Not a major trade, to be sure. But at least I can see SOME rationale behind it from NO's perspective.

 

Brackins isint a scrub

 

Sixers have Williams to play combo guard, he was effective last year too. So they don't need Green.

This in itself doesn't say bye bye to Iggy. The Sixers still have 5 sg's on their roster though. I see them getting rid of at least 1 more before training camp. However they'll probably hang onto Iggy til they see what Turner can do. Don't see them trading Iggy til the trade deadline.
