Could just be that New Orleans needed to balance its roster. This trade gives them two things they didn't have before: (1) A veteran SG (they only had Thornton and Belinelli on the roster) (2) An outside-shooting C (neither Emeka nor Aaron Gray are much of a threat from long distance) Not a major trade, to be sure. But at least I can see SOME rationale behind it from NO's perspective.
This in itself doesn't say bye bye to Iggy. The Sixers still have 5 sg's on their roster though. I see them getting rid of at least 1 more before training camp. However they'll probably hang onto Iggy til they see what Turner can do. Don't see them trading Iggy til the trade deadline.
