SpearsNBAYahoo When asked if Warrick signing for Suns means Amar'e era over in Phoenix? A source close to situation told Y! Sports: "It looks that way."

Amare turned down max offer from Suns and Sarver quickly moved on without getting an early commit from Amare. Morey could cash in on this!!!

or desperation move to convince Amare they're willing to spend to improve.

Now this is a smart signing.

Hakim has great potential and if Nash can make Channing Frye look like a good starter imagine what he can do for Hakim.

Amare - Suns talk ended very badly, neither side looking back.

Not a horrible signing at $4M, but I doubt he helps them much. Warrick is a crummy version of Varejao. Terrible touch, even around the basket, and an ineffective rebounder. Doesn't have the length, strength, or determination to make a difference in any real way on either end. I don't think he's worked on his game at all since Syracuse, and he wasn't exactly improving by leaps and bounds year to year there.

Not that I really want him, but I wonder if we still have any chance to sign-and-trade for Amare. I don't know that the Suns are going to want to take back salary to equal a max contract, so we'd have to give them a huge haul to make it worth it for the Suns ... now that they've handed out a couple of fair sized contracts.

For some reason I feel like Amare is going to end up in Houston somehow and I'm not happy about that.

Warrick is not a bad player and that contract is cheaper than Darko's.

Of course, Darko is a more productive player.

Low risk, high reward at $4.5M per year. Warrick is the kind of guy that can flourish playing with Nash. Think of guys like Jared Dudley, Boris Diaw, Raja Bell, etc.

doesnt this mean the rockets can't get amar'e now??

We cant sign him outright, only through sign and trade...if the suns are now leaving amar'e alone and using money elsewhere...we can't sign and trade anymore.

Good sign by the Suns. Warrick should fit nicely into their system.
