Yall have no idea how disappointed I am as a PS3 owner. I was up late last night reading the impressions. SIGH... The PSN better get this thing tomorrow or Thursday. Or I will be throwing fit. Id like to know how the PS3 version runs so I can determine if I should buy a 360. I play all kinds of games. But for months out of the year NCAA is my life.

I'm thinnking about a PS3 but it all hinges on this game for some reason. I don't know how the 360's 60fps vs PS3's 30 fps translates in non-techno geek terms but I can live with a delay provided I get all the features and can download updated rosters.

I'm actually in the same boat - I've been waiting to upgrade to a new gen system until NCAA came out- thats the game I have played the most religiously recently. I've been leaning towards a 360 but I've been a PS2 owner for so long, plus with the recent PS3 price drop its making my decision that much harder.

Where is your brand loyalty man!!!

I don't like the xbox controler and I can actually score a PS3 60gb for $250. Don't ask from who or where.

I just know some people that know some people that shot some people. ;)

Graphics weren't the problem with 07. Well... Not the big problem.
No question about it, if the 30fps rumor is legit then 360 scores a point. But I am more concerned about the game even being released on schedule for the PS3 at this point, FPS is now a secondary concern.

The xbox had to deal with PS2 ports. Tables turned. And I don't like it. The only reason you don't see me buying a 360 at this point is because the 30fps in my eyes is still an unconfirmed rumor. I am also not sure how big of an impact it will actually have on gameplay. And 360's go 6ft under like its their job. I am scared to death of those 3 rings.

Wow, that would be a hard deal to pass up.

Why are you worried about it not being released on schedule? I may have missed some of those rumors. I would have thought it would have been known by now if the game was being delayed. Both versions should have gone gold by this point. It would be pretty pathetic if EA couldn't even get it on schedule while running at 30 FPS...unless, of course, they delayed it so that they could try to get it running at 60 FPS. Probably too much work for that though.

I'm pretty sure it is 30 FPS, almost no doubt it my mind. I'm assuming this is a one-time deal though. If NCAA 09 (and the other football games) are 30 FPS...well, then some heads will need to roll.

BTW, I wouldn't be expecting a demo for NCAA 07 on the PSN.

You'd be wrong. They seem to have the same problems that the other SKUs have AFAIK.

According to EA at the NCAA Community day awhile back there was supposed to be PS3 demo via PSN in "early July". The PS3 usually doesn't get too many 3rd party demos before a games release. But it was stated, so I still have my fingers crossed for Thursday.

There have been rumblings from some Gamestop's around the country that NCAA on the PS3 would be delayed. Nothing concrete. But when you look at EA's site the PS3 shipping status differs from other consoles. EA LINK

Add to the fact we have seen no video, and that NCAA will not be shown on PS3 at the upcoming EA event (it will be shown on PS2! and 360) then I do have my doubts about it shipping on time. EA has had a bad history with the PS3 thus far, NBA Live didn't even make it out despite what EA marketing it.

Hmm...there definitely might be some merit to that speculation. Some of that stuff doesn't really worry me (Live shouldn't have even been released on 360, not too uncommon to see just 360/PS2 versions of games especially at general shows, etc.), but the status of the PS3 version on the EA website is pretty interesting. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Very nice, thanks for the heads up. I haven't had a football game since NCAA 05 on the PS2. I'm looking forward to picking this up on the 17th. My sucky ass is out of practice but I still managed to beat UMich 7-0. :D

So the PS2 version is coming out next Tuesday right? I already took off that day because I plan on playing it all day long. It really sucks that they don't make NCAA for PC anymore.

If anyone finds this game early in Houston let me know. I'm sick and housebound. Nothing would cheer me up more.
    -Thanks and giggy
