If your into good graphics, good gameplay, and deep simulation then

go with World Series 2k3.

Hands down the overall best baseball game.

 

No question, World Series Baseball 2K3. It's the best baseball game ever made. It's got the best gameplay, graphics, franchise mode, sound, layout, stats, whatever you want - nothing compares. You deserve to be shot if you buy any other baseball game for Xbox. They all suck compared to 2K3.

 

I actually prefer High Heat due to its simulation settings... its the best game out there for pure simulation, and less "arcade" type baseball.

Seriously... on the hardest settings, its a very very hard game... you'll never get bored of it because you'll never master it.

WS2K3 is the best graphics out there, and the simulation isn't bad... but you definitly have to tweak it yourself. The 1st game I threw with Tim Redding, he struck out 18 batters. I thought, "Hey...maybe Redding is that good!." Then I realized that you can strike everyone out by throwing a low curveball.

Also, as an added bonus for XBox users, you can download rosters on XBOX live for High Heat...

Has anybody played Microsoft's baseball title, Inside Pitch? I believe you can play that head-to-head over Live.

 

I've played Inside Pitch and I think other than the online play everything else is subpar. Gameplay, graphics (suprising), animations, play-by-play are all off. Stay away from this game...

 

try slugfest 2004...youll be amazed.

 

yes world series has drafts, minors, hire your minor league scouts, minor league coaches, you can create your own minor leaguers are put them in your farm system...
