Since I recently bought an xbox I would like to know if anyone in here has one and what games they can recommend. I own 3 games now. Halo, Dead or alive 3 and Project gotham racing. They all kick ass by the way. It's hard to believe how much better the xbox is compared to playstation.
I have one (even though it just got zapped by a lightning strike; thank God for extended warranties). I really enjoyed JetSetRadioFuture. And although I haven't played any of the sport titles yet, I would wait till around August/September for the new titles coming out. They look better than what is currently out. Just rent for now if you've finished those other three.
Hockey EA outdoes itself with this one. The crowd sucked though. I hit a puck in the stands and all the people were cardboard cutouts. Maybe baseball should try that if the players strike.
You've got the best games already, 8.0 Morrowind is a non-action rpg that is huge. It's pretty good, but you do a lot of reading. 7.9 The Pirate game is kinda fun. I also liked NBA inside drive a lot, but other people did not like it. The Xbox magazine has very honest reviews for the most part. www.gamespot.com is also good.
I think you should check out AMPED! . Excellent snowboarding game and great replay value. I am currently enjoying the port Splashdown(with a few XBox only custom courses) as well. Many, many games are coming out in the Fall for XBox along with XBox Live! . This is going to be an excellent Fall for the XBox gamers. Don't forget about "The Thing" in September which picks up where the movie left off. Brute Force(also coming in Sept.) is being discussed as the next Halo. Gun Metal is out at the end of the month and it has been getting rave reviews. Good time for you to play the first gen titles and, before you know it, the second gen titles will be out. You can't lose...enjoy!
i like amped as well. a cool game is fifa world cup, if you are into soccer scene. madden 2002 best game overall for xbox. grand theft auto 2 is coming out for xbox later this year!
There is ALOT of good titles out. I would reccomend NBA 2K2 over Live, but get Live because Stevie is on the cover. Inside Drive is a great game but has an arcade feel unlike Live/2K series Tony Hawk 3 - Awesome game, very addictive SSX Tricky - Fun as hell Jet Set Radio Future - kinda complicated at first, but very enjoying game WWF err.. WWE Raw is not bad but has some pretty deep controling, not a game you can master over night World Series Baseball - Very well layed out game Other games coming out soon that should be awesome: Crazy Taxi Shenmue 2 Sega Sports 2K3 lineup - NBA, NFL, NHL, and Tennis Street Hoops Vexx Ninja Gaiden MK5: Deadly Alliance BTW: if you need xtra controllers, they have the Mad Catz controllers at Target for $12 a piece. Not bad at all. Bought one last January for $15 and has been great so far.
What's the size on the Mad Catz? I'm interested in getting the S controller but its like $39.99 or something. Thanks for the heads up.

Don't get 007 Agent Under Fire. That game is a total waste. I got it two weeks ago. I narrowed my choices b/w Morrowind, 007, and Outlaw Golf. I don't likes games like Morrowind so I went with 007. Bad decision. Oh well. I'm going to trade in 007 and Inside Drive for NCAA 2003.
Man, I haven't posted since 1842. Anyway, I own both the P2 and the Xbox.....Xbox box rule. I haven't purchased a P2 game since I bought the Box. With that said, I own: NBA Live 2002 (Cool, mostly got it because of Stevie.) Dead or Alive 3[b/] (Awesome....NOTHING compares to this as fighting games go!) Blood Omen 2[b/] (Alright, if you are in to pulling hearts out of people' s chest and breaking necks, like I am. If you have a long weekend, rent it and beat the game that way....not too hard) Hunter: the Reckoning THIS GAME ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY R-O-C-K-S!!!!!!!! (which I rented and beat in one weekend) is probably (IMO) the benchmark for XBox games....Hunter blows it out of the water! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE. Next up is Morrowwind. Did someone mention a lot of reading? How is the storyline and the action sequences?
My bad...... When I mention Hunter: the Reckoning, I intended to mention that Halo is probably XBox's flagship game, Hunter blows it out of the water IMO. Apologies for the mix up in the original post.
