Got this game yesterday. Totally sick. You play a guy that has been "executed" by the state, or so the public thinks. You are then put into a "Running Man" kind of game. The only weapons you have are those you can acquire from others in the game. This is not for button bashers. You have to use more stealth kills than head on blasts. I'm through the first three levels and the weapons I have picked up (other than my bare hands) are:

    A plastic grocery bag...

    A shard of glass

    A baseball bat

    and a nail gun.

If you sneak up on a guy and then kill him quickly, the game cuts to a video camera view. Apparently the warden (?) has set up this as a game that people can pay to watch.

Anyway, it's creepy, addictive, and kind of open ended (not as much as Hitman 2).

    Definitely recommended.

What are some other XBOX games that you guys play (besides the obvious Halo)?

    err.... HALO :D

Knights of the Old Republic is up there with Halo, a fantastic game. Those 2 games are in a league of their own with XBOX, not much else comes close. Return of Castle Wolfenstien is a decent game with XBOX live online play.

I am also playing Manhunt and you bring it to the point. It is really creepy. damn. I cannot play it always (whuss alert!!!!!) - no, its not that bad. But as you say. It is frightening.

Did you heard of "Red Dead Revolver"? I am really freaking about that game to come out. It is also from the Rockstar crew and is playing in a classic italo western stlye with Ennio Morricone sounds. Can't wait for it.

    http://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadrevolver/index2.htm

check the site. It gives me goosebumbs. The main character is totally Clint Eastwood in the 60's.

    yeeeeeehaaaw !!!!!

hold on to your seat man... i think it's out already.

morrowind is cool. my girlfriend and i like to play the two player co-op games. like dark alliance 2. hunter the reckoning, and redeemer. what else... i think the best games for xbox are prince of persia and ninja gaiden, so far nothing comes close. i rented those games because i figured the re-play value was low, and indeed once you beat it there's really no need to do it again. oh GTA: Vice City was fun too. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is good... although i'm more into the shoot 'em ups... the stealth is fun but sometimes when you have to keep doing something it gets on my nerves.

Manhunt is an excellent game.............to rent

3 days is about how long it takes for this game to become stale, old and repetitive

the shock value is high, but the replayability is low

Manhunt came out on PC and PS2 first.

Actually, I've played it through a couple of times. Trying to figure out how to get through the levels in the quickest and most efficient method possible does get interesting in the later levels.

It took me like a year to finish GTA Vice City so i don't think this game is for me. for anyone who has played it, is it harder than GTA? i've been meaning to buy the game but i don't know how hard it is to play it. i'm not good at shooting games or games like that. I really like them though. My question is, should I buy this game or should I wait for San Andreas?

Manhunt, IMO, is crap. The shock value, like someone said, is all it has going for it. After it's up, you realize you're dealing with a repetitive and simple game.

Red Dead Revolver was a pleasant surprise. A lot more to it that I was expecting. Not the greatest ever, but it helped renew some of my faith in Rockstar.

If you liked Splinter Cell, the new one is just as excellent.

Fight Night is an awesome boxing game.

Just went out and got an X-Box the other day.

    Any other games to suggest?

Im going to get Halo tommorrow and I have "V8 Supercars 2" which is called something different over there in the U.S.

Also can you play Halo online?

One of the reasons I decided to get an X-Box was because Halo 2 and Doom 3 are supposed to be coming out on it over the next year.

i just picked up X-box myself for my son (yeah, right. He's only 5). I had been jonesing for my video game fix and PC just wasn't doing it for me. I only have 3 games - NBALive 2004, Halo, and Knights of the Old Republic. Any suggestions for a real good racing game (not a new release)?

Manhunt is a GREAT game to rent. (Don't buy it.) As others have said, the replayability is kind of low, but the game itself was EXTREMELY fun. It's essentially a brutally graphic murder simulator, so if that isn't something you're comfortable with, don't bother. But if it is... well, it's gonna be tough to put this sucker down.

The enemies in the game get increasingly bizarre, with the final levels seeing you hide from, fight and kill both paramilitary troops as well as a naked fat man wearing a mask fashioned out of pig's head and wielding a chainsaw. I won't spoil how Pigsy meets his end.

There was also this REALLY fun level involving a virtual army of police and sniper rifles. I can't really describe the release of (virtually) beating a (not real) cop to death with his own nightstick... it was like vengeance for every parking ticket I'd ever blundered my way into.

One cool thing about the game is that you have to sneak up on people to murder them, and the longer you're in killing range without them noticing you, the more brutal and graphic their death will be. But, if you've got kids, I'd advise staying away from this game. There's no way you're going to want your kids anywhere near a game where it's encouraged to literally kick enemies' brains out.

just get Gran Turismo. It's still the best pure race (realistic game).
There are some great Rally Games out which are worth checking out, but believe me, for pure classic and classy racing get a Gran Turismo title. You should be able to get Gran Turismo A Spec for quite a low bucks.

Project Gotham Racing 1/2 are really good. The only other racing games worth getting is Sega GT Online. Great racing games espcially when playing on XBox Live.

I got Sega GT Online too, it's a cool game for me cuz it's cheap and it is the only game that i know of that has a Trans Am in it, that's my everyday driving car so it's easy for me to drive that car in the game.
