My son has an XBox 360 that he wants to sell. He has about 6 months of xbox live remaining. My other son also has an xbox 360 and his live account is about to expire. Can I move the remaining months of live over from 1 xbox to the other? Or will the buyer of the xbox get to use the remaining months of live left on the xbox?
Dont think thats possible but dont quote me on that. What you can do is just give him the profile name. He can always pay to change the profile name if he doesn't like it.
only the users account can be transfered over from 1 xbox to another. i do not believe you can take the months from one and move it over to another.
you should make up a story that your son had bad grades and trying to sell the Xbox at a good price... I hear that always works
So will the new owner then get the remaining months? Not being a gamer, I have no clue about this stuff.
I don't know about transferring from one Xbox to another since I think it goes by Profile, not by actual console. The next owner will not have the remaining months of Xbox Live unless he uses the same gamertag/profile you are using. Also before you sell it, make sure you reformat the HD so it cleans it out completely. So nothing will be left (old profiles, old game saves, other info etc.) and that way you wont worry about anyone else using the account. Also, how much is he looking to sell it for? I need a new one. This would be my 3rd 360.
Go onto the XBox you aren't selling. Recover the gamertag from the one that you are selling. The XBox you're keeping will have both profiles with XBox Live and the other console will not have any XBox Live months left. Then, delete all the profiles on the other XBox so as not to leave any personal information on there.
