Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has had a chance to play the demo, or have picked this title up yet. I played the demo over the weekend, and frankly, I was very surprised at how good it looked and played. I mean really, usually it's the other way around - a new game comes out and is supposed to be all wonderful (like the super-over-hyped Lost Planet) and the only reaction I can muster is 'Meh.' But this one - I honestly had a few 'Wow' moments, and that was just from the demo. Funny part is, my wife and I were at a restaurant a couple days ago, the day after I had played the demo in fact, and there was a tv on the wall, and she looks up and sees what she thinks is the trailer for some new movie - big monster tentacled thing coming out of the ground, stuff like that, and she was like 'Wow, what is that?' (she HATES FPS - they make her dizzy - but generally refuses to have anything to do with them in any regard anyway). Of course *I* recognized it, and told her it was from a new game that just came out, and even she was impressed with how good it looked, and that was just from a regular tv commercial. Anyway, anecdote aside, I was just curious if anyone had had any experience with this title yet..
Yea I will be picking this up.. I played the demo a while back and I really liked it. I thought it would suck because of the whole "Area 51" thing but it was surprisingly entertaining.
