Where can I find these games? I'd like to download them. I have a workday coming up and I'm all caught up. I used to love playing them when I was younger. Anyone have any ideas or sites?

    Best game ever.

I bought a copy at Target for $5.00 about six years ago. It may be on EBay every once in a while.

Since I have a box and manual and 3.5" diskettes, I can tell you that I can download a backup copy every once in a while at www.suprnova.org.

We finally agree on something. Although the graphics are crappy, that game is a ton of fun. Nothing rocks more than the Firestorm, heavy plasma and flying armor. I hate those Chrysalid aliens though. When I first started playing, I'd lose whole teams to those ugly bastards. Still, that was one of the coolest games ever. Rock on!!!!!!:D

So this thread got me to reminiscing about Defender. I used to love that game (not as much as Galaga)....but the sound effects were cool and you got to blow a lot of stuff up. The only problem I had was when those stupid little red things showed up and moved around spastically all over the screen. That usually meant the end of my quarter. Good memories.

I use to love playing that game(the original XCOM) , but it starting running WAAAY too fast on my new computers so I just threw it away. I wish they made a version that I could run on the new computers. :(

There are programs to slow down your computer so you can run some of the old games that were not programmed correctly.

X-com UFO defense for the Playstation was the best game ever. I never did beat it.

DUDE! I just downloaded that game last week after thinking about it randomly for some reason! It loaded ok but the visuals looked like scrambled p*rn so i gave up trying to bootleg it. If you really want to play it though, it's cheap on ebay or something.

If you like old school though, I've been on a Duck Hunt craze lately. 8-bit madness!

X-COM is a classic in every sense of the world. There was a huge collection of all the games (like one of those 'battlechests' EA puts out) not too long ago. Great pickup.
