What Would Popovich Do? After hearing all of the talk about Alpi's lack of defense and Silas' reasoning for benching him. I thought about what would the best coach in the NBA have done, if put in the same situation? He would have sit him down! The only problem I have with what Silas did, was the timing. Why now? to be fair to SOF Nation, Jalen Green's defense has been none existence all year. Why wasn't Green benches earlier to make an example? However, if this is Silas' stance moving forward....let's see what happens when Green returns.

To change the direction of this a tad, Pop is an, not the, elite NBA coach today. Spol may be #1. Thibs is doing a (surprisingly to me) great job in MSG. Carlisle is always aces. Bud in beer and dear alley. Malone in Denver. Orlando and OKC may be better choices to analogize the situation.
