Attention, anyone who loves the Rockets first and foremost: WWHD? What would Hakeem do? We BADLY need to win this game. Even if the Fakers beat us by 50 points in game 7, the fact that this team -- without its two star players and most experienced role player -- took the league-anointed champs as far as possible and gave them a scare is a testament to what this Rockets team is all about. Plus, if we can take this one tonight, ALL the pressure will be on the Lakers in game 7. Maybe that won't make a difference, but just MAYBE it will. That's a heavy burden to think about for 45 hours or so -- if you lose, you have let everyone down and proven yourself to be no better than an injury-depleted team of "players who wouldn't make the roster of most NBA teams." The Rockets have an opportunity to make a statement so loud that the entire NBA community hears it. Dig deep. Be strong. Kick ass. That's what Hakeem would do.
