Sure the Rockets only spent the minimum and a roster spot on him, and he was clearly a contributor (at least when not matched up against Vujacic), but the Rockets didn't got anywhere, didn't sign him back and didn't get any value for him in a sign and trade, so can we conclude the signing was a failure and the Rockets, in the long run, would have been better off giving the roster spot to someone else (maybe buying another 2nd round pick or something)?
he was worth it.. come on man.. Was Artest worth it? check Was Von worth it? check "Was Brent Barry worth It" thread in... 5.... 4.... 3.... 2....
I won't vote in the poll of a silly copycat thread that's pretty useless but I'll gladly respond with the obvious answer. Absolutely 100% yes. Wafer was worth every penny of his league minimum contract. Too bad Sasha completely shut him down in the playoffs. Of all people to shut you down, it doesn't get much worse than Vujavic.
^ LOL wut? That's what I call top heavy. By the way you should probably spoiler that for those of us at work.
Worst imitation thread ever? The Rockets did got somewhere. They got to the 2nd round. So don't say they didn't got anywhere. btw.....Wafer > Artest.
he was an immature hot dog. all we did with wafer was get out of the first round. that means jack squat. our whole team is fail. 2nd round means jack.
I am glad the team got to the 2nd round, but did Von make that much of a difference? Could the team have gotten their sans Von? And what is the ultimate goal of the franchise, to win a championship, right? At the end of the day, we got nothing for Von......and still no championship. If we would have traded him at the deadline or did a S&T for him in this offseason, then I would be on the other side and said he was worth it. all in all, BAD ASSET MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!
He was definitely a spark off the bench. Yeah he wasn't a passer but he was fun to watch. The fact that he was getting paid the minimum made having him absolutely worth it...
