Hey, it's WTF Friday.... and here's your first story!! Feel free to post your WTF story for today!!! OK... but why does he have to dress in drag?? I think the cop just likes dressing in drag?? Plain clothes is one thing, but cross dressing?? Seriously, WTF??
i saw this on the evening news. i know he feels he's doing a service to everyone, but come on. this destroys any dignity one would have as a police officer.
Stuff like this really annoys me. I just feel that it is a waste of time and resources. And what purpose is it to wear a dress? Just dumb. Another example. There is a cop that sits on Lake Woodlands Drive ALL DAY LONG giving people tickets. The speed limit is 35 (which is too damn slow for that road) and that is all he does every day. I see him giving tickets every morning and every evening from work. It just infuriates me that this is what our police system does all day. For the love of God, leave people alone. I've never gotten a ticket on that road, mainly because I drive slow, know he is there, and because I have a radar detector but it just feels like this dude is doing it for the sake of being the big guy cop with his dumb hat. There are so many stop signs on that freaking road that it is difficult to speed very much anyway.
I don't even know what to say about that. I can't think of one logical reason why he would have to dress in a dress...other than he likes to dress in a dress.
Wouldn't it be a better use of resources to mount a camera instead. I can't help but imagine these guys brainstorming on how to bust people, when Sargent Savage stands up with a most ingenious plan.
Yes, but that would have to be approved by the City, iirc. It was talked about but there was mucho opposition to the idea.
Teen blows roof off parents' house.... "It's ironic," his mother Joanne Bray said. "Sean didn't cook anything while we were away - he survived on microwave meals and takeaways." .....LOL http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,19367812-13762,00.html
I love the alternative... "Sorry that we can't approve the camera, but they have a dress sale at Penneys"
although i agree with your sentiment, regardless of the sarcastic tone, i think it's a ridiculous way to go about it. i feel a part of why they are doing this is for more money obviously. being incognito is a better way to catch offenders. if they really wanted the streets to be safer and cars to slow down, just park an official cop vehicle in plain view. pulling people over every 15 minutes, not only causes back up, it's also a road hazard.
well, if they wouldn't speed in the first place, the officer wouldn't have to pull them over ....kind of hard to blame an officer for doing his job
Speaking of which, I just had an appt. at the Starbucks on Post Oak @ Westheimer. There was this lady at the bus stop who would go psychotically ballistic everytime a car came out of the parking lot to turn onto Westheimer. Literally, she would start walking towards the car with her teeth gritted and fist raised. Before she got to the car, it always would pull out. Then she would throw her fist at them in a shake of rage and yell expletives at them as they drove away. She honestly did this to 20 cars, including my own in the 15 minutes we saw her there. Absolutely hysterical.
How did an aerosol can make such a big explosion? And then State legislators would try to outflank the City by making such cameras illegal in the state.
