I'm looking to get 2 24 hour memberships that will work for a Super Sport location. The Costco deal will not work for Super Sport and I talked to them and they won't let me upgrade it. Is there anyone here that works for 24 hour that sales memberships or knows someone that can get a deal for my wife and I?

    Thanks,
    Chase

You can upgrade your membership, the sales person you talked to is full of crap.

Just keep trying, eventually you'll find somebody willing to take your money.

They said the only thing they would do w/ the Costco memberships is apply them to the $52.99 normal rate. The Costco rate is only about $12.50 a month so that minus $52.99 is still way too expensive if you ask me. I'm pretty disappointed that the 24 hour close to me is a super sport. The only thing I see it offers is an outdoor pool and that doesn't really help me because I use mine in my neighborhood. They don't even have raquetball for that price.

If you want to upgrade, you have to pay the full price, if I were you I'd do a prepaid membership instead of month to month.

    Those rates are typically cheaper.

Yeah I'm interested in doing either, whatever works out the best. Just need to find a good deal on one. The Costco deal is amazing, but that one won't work. I was able to join up for $30/month through Bluecross Blueshield, but now the city is changing insurance over to Cigna so that deal won't be good anymore either.

Well, because you want Super Sport, you may have to pay. I paid $800 for 3 years membership at any location and then $30 per year thereafter. Here are the only things I could find:

    24 Hour Fitness Specials

One thing to keep in mind is that they WILL work with you if you go in person. It's just like purchasing a car. Go in with a mindset, and if they won't work with you, then go to another location. It may be best to make a deal for "all sports anywhere" access and then tell them that you'll pay an extra $10 per month if they make it "super sports anywhere" access. If they still give you a hard time, tell them you're purchasing 2 passes and see if that changes their mind, if not, then part ways. Good luck!

I was a Super Sport member for 2 years and recently cancelled it over the phone. The rep tried to get me to stay by offering a free personal training session (I actually chuckled over the phone) but then offered to lower the price to $29.99/month when I told her I just need to cancel it.

So if you're willing to sign up (might need to pay full price for a little while) and then call to cancel, they'll probably offer the same type of deal. But as others have posted, you can always try to negotiate with a live rep and see what they can do for you.

Thanks for the tip Gucci888, I may just try calling the 800 number. Also thanks Ron, it's not bad, but I've gotten that same offer at the club. I'm able to get $30 a month from my medical insurance, but I think it will only last about 6 months and it will only be good for me, not for my wife since she isn't on my plan.

I pay 199/year for all sport.

could the super sport at only one facility be THAT much more expensive?

Typically the super sport clubs they charge a ridiculous premium.

They limit each market to only having 2 or 3 of them to drive the price way up.
