I am thankful for the relatively good health of the team and coaches, the very good performance by Ming and his seemingly good adjustment in Houston and a road win on this trip!!!!
For Yao. Obviously for the on court value he brings to the team. But just as importantly for his off court value. Today's Chron article by Fran http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkn/1680760 does a real good job of summing up why Yao is such a huge asset to the organization. For those of us who are old enough to remember Hakeem's indoctrination into U.S. culture and his basketball maturation, it's also a bit of nostalgia. To those of you that aren't old enough to remember, my advice this time around with Yao is to just sit back and enjoy each moment of his development. Take time to appreciate the innocence, the humor, and the class he combines with his game. Enjoy the stumbles as well as the successes. It'll make you appreciate the finished product much more if you've gone through the learning process with him and the team.
Im thankful for NBA league pass for allowing me to see all of the Rocket games. Im thankful for CCNET, bringing Rocket fans from around the world, to share our obsession with the Rockets. Extra thanks to Nolen, HP, Codell (and many, many others) for your insight. And Last ..for those who enjoy hurling insults at RudyT and the Rockets...Im thankful that your numbers are as small as your minds. .
I'm thankkful for Yao and the positive outlook he has on the game of basketball. Watching the games, at times, it seems Yao is the only Rocket cheering on his teammates while on the bench. I see Moochie standing up from time to time offering encouragement, but by far I see Yao clapping and cheering the most.
Im thankful that the season is 82 games and not 14 games. Im thankful for having the opportunity to watch this team struggle and grow. The satisfaction of winning when we get it together will be worth it. Im thankful for ZZHiggins home town of San Diego letting us have their basketball team. Sorry ZZ ...couldnt resist twisting the knife a little....lol
1. I'm thankful that no wind storm has caught Moochie and blown him to Florida. 2. I'm thankful that Yao has brought more exposure to the BEAUTIFUL ASIAN WOMEN that have now found the camera (you see the national anthem last night?)! 3. I'm thankful that Kelvin Cato can now retire after his career game. 4. I'm thankful that Carrol Dawson hasn't changed glasses in 20 years, we all love that 70's executive look. 5. I'm thankful that someone knows what Keith Jones' job is, because I sure as hell don't. 6. I'm thankful that Rudy has forgiven Kermit Washington, even though I would love to hold him down and let Rudy kick the **** out of him. 7. I'm thankful that Hakeem finally retired, I just wish that Toronto experiment had never happened. 8. I'm thankful that Stevie has dental insurance, now I wish he would use it 9. I'm thankful that the Rocket's commercials feature more black people, even if they are on the bus(THANKS ALOT TIM!)! 10. Finally I'm thankful that Calvin Murphy doesn't give his suits to the homeless, because if he did, they would freeze to death.
1. i'm thankful that God has permitted me to be a Rocket fan. 2. I'm thankful that Mo Taylor and Glen Rice have come to play this season. 3.I'm thankful that the Rockets have a coach who is respected around the league. 4.I'm thankful that Yao has overcome the critics and proved everybody wrong besidesRocket fans. 5.I'm thankful that there is a Rocket site that no other site can beat. 6.I'm thankful for Stevie Franchise's maturity. 7.I'm thankful for Cuttino Mobley Cod

I am thankful for this positive thread. I am thankful that the Rockets have assembled a kick ass, youthful, dangerous team.... they are destined to be great! I am thankful we have Rudy at the helm to lead them. I am thankful for all those on this board that exhibit a little bit a patience, give some thought to their posts, and provide insightful feedback.... for those who don't - oh forget it, this is the 'Thankful' thread.
Rock out, SF3! I second everything he said, except I'll do it without rhyming 'cause I can't match that
Nice use of irony! How clever of you to break the flow and mold of your writing by not rhyming here. These lines don't fit...kind of like Mooch and Maddox seemingly don't fit into the Rockets' mold, either!
I would like to give thanks for LIFE for without where would we be? I would also like to give thanks for all the joy and happiness the rockets have brought to my heart. There is so much to give thanks.........I mean I can't even express it.
