I'm watching Wrestlemania 24 right now and they just announced Wrestlemania 25 will take place next year at Reliant Stadium.
They had to watch something when Star Trek went off the air. I still watch it every once in awhile if nothing else is on, but hardcore wrestling fans are mostly dorks. It's a different brand of dork than D&D and SciFi but they're dorks none the less. They take this stuff way too seriously. I had a friend in high school who broke his TV when he threw a soda at it because some wrestler got "screwed" and he was pissed.
Wrestlemania 17(or X-Seven as they called it) was amazing, but the WWF has been all downhill since then. And it's hard for me to ever look at it the same way after the Benoit incident.
Kam and I found out a month ago, actually, he posted it in that one thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=145334
I just want to see the Mayweather v Big Show match. What can I say? The commercial piqued my interest.
I was at X-7 in the Dome. 16th row, right next to the ramp where all the wrestlers walk to the ring. It was one hell of a show.
They had a video played during Wrestlemania that said it was going to be in Houston. They were selling it as "A quarter century in the making". It should be a huge show. Austin vs Hogan perhaps?
That would be horrible match nowadays...Hogan is nearing 60 and Austin is on two really bad knees. And plus I think both of their styles are not really suited for great match. Hogan's matches were way too gimicky and at time uninteristing. Austin would have much better card and story with this guy (in his prime): I don't know who is in the WWF too much anymore....but I would say the best possible match would be........... Batista (or Randy Orton) vs. Shawn Michaels (if he is still healthy)
Wrestling sucks big donkey balls now. Totally boring, but SERIOUSLY, I try to watch a RAW show every Monday but it just does'nt hold my interest the way it did in the late 90's, I end up changing the channel after 15 minutes. But I might try to score some Wrestlemania tickes just because my little sister is in love with that Cena guy. Too bad she did'nt get to know Stone Cold or The Rock. Now they were bad ass
