This has become a trend now, MSNBC gave out their list of the top 10 role-player in the NBA and to my surprise not one player of the Rockets was mention despite us improving and slowly gaining respect b/c of our role-players. So who were some of the player that made it? How about.. Byron Russel Reggie Evans Eric Snow Brian Grant(the worst!) top 5s were: Ben Wallace Bruce Bowen PJ Brown Aaron Mckie Doug Chrsite(2nd worst!) Just amazing... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7142356/page/2/
I'm beginning to think whoever in charge of sports section of website on MSNBC has something against the Rockets
this is all you need to know about MSNBC's choice ( * www.freepgs.com/datznasty/woopz.avi * *from posters in the NBA Dish
Surely they're talking about career accomplishments. If so, it's pretty hard to argue with them. Most of them are finished nowadays.
Who cares, the biggest sports event they ever broadcast as a network was the quarter final womans volley ball event in the 2004 Olympics.
Of the 10 i would give, boykins, evans, bowen and snow credit for being a legit role player. Ben Wallace is not a role player he is a key core and piece to that detroit team, just because he doesnt put up 15+ points a game doesnt mean he is just a role player. PJ Brown yeah in the past i would say but this year he hasnt done much on a very mediocre, if not bad, Hornets team. maybe it just me but for someone to be a legit role player the team needs to be winning Aaron McKie i havent seen much of at all this year dunno how he can be considered top 5 but i cant pass judgement just yet since i havent seen the sixers outside of the nightly AI highlights on SC Doug Christie had he stayed in Sacramento would be valid but all he has done in Orlando is make himself a nice butt groove on the pine. Russell, Grant? uhm yeah these guys always contribute to the team. I am not a nba expert by any means but i can come up with better stuff out of my butt than the people over there at msnbc
Did you get the memo? It's piss on MSNBC week. Seriously though. Who cares what MSNBC says. They are a 3rd rate sporting news outlet at best.
I would agree with this assesment. Its hard to put up any of the current Rox as great role players if we're looking at careers but if the Rox keep up their current pace and Bob Sura and Mike James aren't there next year then there's something fishy.
LOL! That Wade/Snow clip is the funniest, most embarrassing result of a crossover I've ever seen; I love it!
Speaking of NBC.... I don't know if anyone has noticed but they FINALLY added Tracy McGrady & Yao Ming to the list of "Dynamic Duos." They have them listed as "Contenders." I remember when NBC Sports first put out that list...Tracy & Yao were completely left off the list. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7083360/ (Page 2)
Of course they just now added Tracy and Yao. Look at the votes. Out of over 6000 votes, Tracy and Yao have 0%. Thats because they just added them. Revote!
What an embarrassment. How can you write an article where you don't even mention a fact (Yao and Tmac) and then list that fact as a very important one (Tmac and Yao being contenders). That's so unprofessional and plain irresponsible journalism.
Why is this new to anyone??? I've known MSNBC sports is WITHOUT A DOUBT the WORST major sports site on the net. That is until the inevitable happens and ALL of ESPN.com becomes a pay-to-read site. Notice how more and more stuff is becoming "insider only?" F*** MSNBC, they've been trash for years!
AHHHH.... I hate how everone is kissing Wades ASS over that move... IT WASNT the crossover that faked him, SNOW WAS FALLING DOWN BEFORE THE MOVE(and the little push also helps) If Wade was really tring to shake Snow he must have done it so well he faked himself, because he didnt take the lane on move
MSNBC's articles are always crap....never read them honestly so i don't know why people are getting their panties in a bunch cuase of some crap they said.
