Su qun is one of the best basketball analyst in china (like Tom Gilbert caliber) and he says on Sina that It is time for Yao to demand a trade now. He mentioned "7 years super star rule" refers to Shaq, who made the right choice that left Orlando, and mentioned Yao needs to follow that rule otherwise he will never get a title like Tim hardaway.

I am a YOF and i would be happy to see Yao in LAL, New York or Toronto uniform.

    LMAO at Tom Gilbert

And nice touch with the Tim Hardaway comparison. That is certainly a first.

Well yao won't because he's loyal player and doesn't like changes too much.

the ONLY good thing that can come out of a Yao trade is that there will no longer be any YOF's.

    Tom Gilbert FTW..

and Shanghai_noon, I have a lot of respect for your honesty in coming out of the closet and exclaiming proudly that you are a YOF.. :D

not to be a d1ck here, but the Rockets can land ANYONE for Yao, and if they indeed trade him and we end up landing Dwight/Okafor & Gerald Wallace/Garnette, we are talking HUGE gains, instant championships..

that, of course, would only happen in a fantasy world where business, market, and $$$ don't exist and all that matters is basketball skill.. :)

    You never know.

Su qun is yao' friend and he is commentator of almost every CCTV5 Rockets telecast game in china and I am sure you heard his voice.

Tom Gilbert maybe a bad comparision by me.

For the information, just in case ppl here are misled by this:

Su Qun is NOT Yao's friend or whatsoever. He is just a Yao's friend wanne be. He used to kiss Wang Zhizhi's butt so much and lost his only chance to get on Yao's bandwagon.

He is promoting Yao move to Laker since the day 1, not just now.

Yeah, nice attacking some one's home city. Stop drinking the haterade, Shanghai is awesome and you know it. :D

Edit: Also if this Sun Qun guy has anything to do with any basketball commentary I've seeing/heard on CCTV5, than I'm not worried. Then don't know much about basketball and seem/sound more like professional journaiists than basketball commentators.

In the last paragraph, a part of a sentence is translated by Babelfish as:
Was Babelfish even close? What was really posted?

Win a freaking playoff series before playing the diva card.

Shaq took his team to the Finals, Lebron did the same last year. They are bonafide superstars and Yao is just an inconsistent 2nd in command type so far. Look I am not trying to hate on Yao but you have to establish yourself before making demands. A guy like Kobe can do it and get away with it cause he can drop 80 on you any given night.

What has Yao done so far?

Shut up and play the game like you should.
