I will be the first one to say: "I am dissapointed with Houston Rockets fans!!" Take that back, maybe I am the 100th person to express this sentiment. "Hello Houston, we are in the playoffs...earth to Houston, earth to Houston...are you there?"

I remember in the mid to late 90's ( I was in high school) when playoff tickets would sell-out in a matter of minutes. Yes, capacity was only 16,285, but we probably havent sold that many tickets for the 1st round of the playoffs. Saturday night was a playoff game. At tip off, we might have had 20% full at the bottom and 40% at the top. What a disaster!!!! How could it be so empty?? The crowd did get into it...but it was a mediocre effort once again. Maybe I set my expectations too high for Houston fans...maybe I am too hyped up for a basketball game...maybe its more about the kids having fun!!!

My main complaint, lets fill up the arena!! What happens if we ever become a mediocre team?? Are we going to show up 5,000 fans per game. If I was Yao or T-Mac, I would not want to play in front of mediocre crowds. Get the word out, lets fill up Toyota Center and make it an awesome place to watch games.

    i agree w you but...

they need to reduce the prices a bit more so that they can appeal to the masses

That's what I have heard. BTW, is there a website list the ticket price of each arena in NBA? I would like to know where Rockets are on that list.

Nothing against you, but I cant understand why would you talk about this on a ROCKETS FAN board, I'm sure EVERYONE here will or would go if they could, it's the other people that are just casual fans in Houston that are the problem.. Take an ad out in the paper if you're really pissed..

Let's see, go to a Rox game and spend 50+ bucks on a crappy seat or go to an Astros game and spend 5 bucks and sit front row. The Rockets have some of the highest ticket prices in the league... don't blame the fans blame the jackholes in the Rox front office who wanted more seats in the lower bowl.

Screw that, I'll go to Live and watch and and drink all night for under the price of a ticket.

I think alot has to do with the fact no one knows the date/time of the games. I don't live in houston, and going to a home playoff game is dependant on if the game falls on the weekend... it just doesnt apply to out-of-city fans, i think alot of people in houston would like to have a concrete details including match-up etc etc before buying a ticket.

Prices are too high?? Man, thats I why I get season tickets. I paid $38 for upper level right on Mid-court. Yes, the same seats are $55 right now..plus fees at the Toyota center website. Thats how I fix it. I get a half-season ticket package, go to 5 to 7 games and then sell the rest to people I know for face price. Quit complaining about ticket prices...one guy just said he is waiting to get paid just to go to the game. If the Rockets make the Western Conference finals, then I am sure people will dish out the cash. Just admit it, we are Americas biggest Bandwagon city!!!

the tickets are just too expensive. The upper bowl and the relatively cheaper priced ones in the lower bowl are always sold out. It is the 85-95-115 price range where it gets tough for people. Dont forget too, that it is at least 5-10 bucks to park and the beer and food isnt cheap.

Eat your heart out before the game.....I dont spend any money when I go to games. I dont go there to eat or drink. I eat at my house or at a restaurant...and I dont really drink.....you dont have to go there for the food and drinks. I guess I have complete different mentality.

EXACTLY!!! Just for future reference, you dont have to get half season tixs for those discounted Playoff tixs. I got the 6 game package last year and got the same deal as you. Again, I wouldve done the same this year, but im low on dough... :(

the games will sell out... but right now you can only buy packages (i.e. 8 tickets) which is a huge financial commitment (I paid $650 for 2 tickets to the first 2 rounds... upper deck!) - once the single games go on sale, you will see them sell out

you are correct. I forgot that a six game package gives you the same rights. people just love to complaint about prices but they dont do anything to prevent paying the higher prices. I was 17 year old when the Rockets were about to play the Knicks in the game 7 of the finals. I had a chance to get the $30 face price ticket from a ticket ageny for $125. I only wanted to spend $100. One of the biggest regrets ever!!! I wish I would have paid the $125 to be there. The next year, I got season tickets with another friend of mine. We sold most of them to friends parents and basically kept them for the playoff option. I now obviously have better resources and can afford a half-season...the funny part is that I still share most of the season with other people.

I would love to buy some tix but not knowing what days the games are being played on makes it difficult to buy in advance.
