Not sure if this was in the Chargers-Pats thread, but I thought it deserved its own regardless.

I've had my knee scoped before torn ACL replacement surgery and there is no frigging way I would have even played hopscotch 6 days after the scope. You feel like the knee isn't even connected to the bottom leg. How the man was able to get on the field and play is beyond my imagination. I wasn't a pro athelete when I had the scope on the torn ACL but I was definetely in extremely good shape at the time.

Just wow. And man that makes Tomlinson's sitting out on a mere sprained MCL look even more weak.

That does not change the fact that Phillip Rivers is a jerkoff and probably always be one.

That's nothing. He had a lobotomy three years ago before a game and no one noticed.

He does come off as being a jerk, but from a football standpoint, this is pretty gutsy...Now i know what one of his lineman was talking about in the interview...

How is getting surgery before a game any different than taking steroids or meth?

There aren't any rules against surgery.

Ive seen a meth addict. There was nothing "super" about her.

Well, her grill was super-gross. But that's about it.

It would only be an insane army of super men if the players were high on pcp. Then it would really be interesting.

I think we have an idea here for a new league.

Once all drugs are legalized (and they will be) each team can take ONE drug of its choice. Crack, pot, meth, pcp, heroin, etc. I think the steroid and HGH teams will win, but you never know.

And if everyone smoked fry, the game would be played in the nude and the players would wander around the field speaking to god.

Doesn't Rivers rely a lot on his planting foot to pass.

How could a torn up Rivers be any more effective than a healthy Volek in this game?

I really don't understand the thinking of not letting Volek prep all week and play.
