Nothing against David Andersen but his absence has been somehow positive giving us a look at Jordan Hill's potentials. So far he made most out of his playing time.
I wish that Adelman would quit his loyalty junk for once and just not play Andersen. I don't wish for him to get hurt.
Indeed, Andersen needs to be "out" by the way of DNP - CD. Not that I'm down on Andersen. But I think he's an established player and there's no need to play him further for judgment.
I believe Andersen is an expiring contract next season (team option for '11-12) so he could be trade bait in the off-season or at the deadline.
I don't wish for any of our players to be out for a while. A team with a full roster always has an advantage over a team missing players.
Seriously, I don't want him out for a while, just sit his butt on the bench and cut some of his playing time and add it to Jordan Hill and let him show what he's capable of.
Never for a Rox player that I "wish" them out. Now with Hill playing well, hopefully we be seeing Anderson back to DNP-CD.
He will still get spot minutes here and there. I think it is good we have players like jeffries and Andersen to put pressure on jordan to make him work for the minutes he gets.
No, because this way we can put him in at the 5. once yao comes back, wouldn't mind seeing how out of the rotation or traded
I think Hill is getting Andersen's spot in the rotation either way. He played more minutes than Hayes last night. I think Andersen will get the minutes Jeffries was getting when he gets back....
I can hardly believe anybody voted "yes." Adelman needs all of his options all of the time. In addition, how can any true Rockets fan hope that one of our players is injured for even a minute?
7 footers who can stroke 3s have value so he will still get minutes to stretch out the "D" but Hill should be getting most of his minutes as long as he continues to improve.
Absolutely not - we've got a beautiful "problem" with multiple bigs developing. Andersen shouldn't nail anyone to the bench with his minutes, but he offers a finesse game that none of the other 4/5s do. Play to the matchups, play the guy that gets hot, but play your guys. In my opinion, the averages should work out to: Hayes: 12 mpg Scola: 36 mpg Jefferies: 12 mpg Andersen: 12 mpg Hill: 24 mpg With night-night fluxuations. If Hill gets going like he's shown he can, KEEP HIM ON THE COURT. If Andersen starts catching fire with his jumper, ditto. Scola should be the only guy whose minutes are locked down.
Man no love for DA, he's done better than other backups. I mean it was him or Gortat and Gortat isn't anything phenominal.
Andersen is exactly what Morey/Adelman expected. It's a few fans on here who expected him to be Dwight Howard and want him banished. He fills a need and is on a good contract, so I think he will be here for a while. I think he's still in the rotation when he comes back, I think Jeffries is out except in matchup situations. Have Hill and Andersen played together yet? This is a pretty good, well-balanced bench: PG - Lowry SG - Ariza SF - Budinger PF - Andersen C - Hill
