Would he solve our problems at SF. He has one year left on his contract in SA. I think he would be great since he he can shoots lights out from 3 pt land. I don't know if SA would do a trade for anything we would be willing to give up. Who would we have to give up to get him.
It would be just our luck Steve Smith would turn into another Rice...a great fit on paper, but he's no spring chicken either, and he's had knee problems in the past. If he's healthy then he is a good addition IMO
Yes he has had injury problems but he only has one year on his contract. We would not have to pay him for very long if ends up on permenant IR. The real questions are, would it be worth what we would have to give up to get him and would he fit in into the rockets system.
IF we're just gonna bring someone in to shoot three's we might as well sign Walt for a few more years.
i don't want smith on our team because of age but in no way is he glen rice. someone else can check nba.com but i'm fairly certain that smith has played in the high majority of his games every season. but somehow he has gotten the label of being injury prone. isn't he also a top 5 three point shooter this year?
Steve Smith is currently the most accurate three point shooter in the NBA. During the middle of the season, there was a time when it was believed that he could break the all time record for three point accuracy. What would we trade for Steve Smith? The Spurs will only take someone in their last year of their contract. They plan to have a lot of cap space the year Tim Duncan is a free agent, and will not take Maurice Taylor or Glen Rice.
