POR may be shopping Smith around...not sure what he makes, but he'd be a decent vet 2 to back-up Mobes. He's a little stiff, but still has a sweet shot and is a decent defender/rebounder for a back-up 2. He use to be one of the better post-up 2s in the NBA. He probably makes too much, but if would could add him and Sabonis...our bench would look better. ------------------

Steve Smith would provide great veteran leadership for the club. But his price is too steep @ 9-10 mil. per, and he has apparently been traded to SA (just to allow us to see him more often!).
I think Steve Smith fits in great with SA. I think he will do better than DA because of his ability to catch and shoot and his D. If you remember, Steve Smith did one of the greatest jobs on Kobe two years ago in the confrence championships when the Blazers almost won.
