    Bizarre question. Since this thread was clearly directed at me, why are you asking a question that even I didn't respond or imply to with the answer yes? There's no way in hell I'd want Simms as the starting QB over Matt Schaub.

    yeah. I dont go to UT and never really cared for their football team, but Applewhite was a true football hero, I hated Simms..

    As Ziggy posted, Simms had a good showing a couple years back and was the Bucs starting QB until that bizarre injury. From what I've heard, Simms has been wanting another shot but Gruden isn't even considering it.

    I thought Simms played well as longhorn and he played well that one season in Tampa. Simms opened the door for big QB recruits to look at Texas.
    Plus it wasn't his fault Chris Brown ran for 500 yards that game!

    If he weren't named Simms people wouldn't be on his case and say that he played well.

    Hey we NEVER LOST to A&M under the Simms helm (starting QB).
