Damn, I too missed Bill on Letterman!!! Oh well, but since the "Clinton" topic has been brought up, would you vote for Hillary(or any other woman who would run) for president? I'm still amazed by some of my friends and co-workers who would not vote for any woman for president. Not because of anything else BUT just because she is a woman! And even more shocking, some of my friends and co-workers are women! Ain't that a kick in the head?!

btw/ I'm betting that Hillary runs in 2008 and not 2004. Either way, she's got my vote.....;)

    Depends on the woman.

I have no problems with letting a female run the country.

I'd vote for a woman, but not Rice or Hillary - both just seem too extreme to me. I've heard Christine Whitman (when she was a rising star in the GOP) was more of a true moderate, but I don't really know much about her.

I'm not sure - I don't mind them running the country, hell they already do that. I just worry about them being the commander in chief. Women still aren't allowed in combat situations are they? Not trying to be sexist. I'm pretty sure a woman could handle it, Hillary did just fine for 8yrs. :D

I could, and would seriously consider voting just because she is a women. I am a firm believer that sometimes you must hire the lesser candidate just because the long term effects will be greater than the short term.

Gender, ethnicity or religion don't mean a tinker's dam to me.

If the person is qualified and share the same stances on political topics that I do, I'll vote for the person.

It depends on the woman and her views. I wouldn't vote for Rice.

I'd be more likely to vote for Hillary as president then as a senator for NY. She's not from NY damnit! She really ticked me off with that one. I agree with a lot of her views, but it's just ridiculous that in so short an amount of time, she wants to represent herself as a New Yorker. If she ran for president, that would've made some sense, because we know she's an American.

Anyway, I would probably vote for Ann Richards if she ran for President.

We already have some Bush in office and that isn't working out too well, IMO.

Hell yea...I always loved Ann Richard's way of putting things.

Hypothetical question, What would she do about Saddam? I get the feeling that she wouldn't be very diplomatic about it. If the world thinks Dubya is a cowboy, what would they think of her? :D

I think RocketmanTex hit it dead on. I think it would be a travesty if we voted for someone as PhiSlammmaJamma stated simply because it was a woman and not because of her qualifications.

I would have voted for Colin Powell over any candidate in 2000, yet he declined to run. I don't know enough about Rice to say I would vote for her or not, her political/idealogical views are more important than her race/sex.

Even Kennedy was the first non-wasp president, and now its not even a thought. The diversity of Bush's cabinet is wonderful, but I feel they are all very qualified as well. One man who I truly appreciate listening to is Rumsfeld, he is direct, yet eloquent and from listening to him, a very intelligent man. I am saddened that Colin Powell no longer wishes to be an integral part of this administration in 2004, but I applaud his ability to stand up for what he believes in irregardless to political ramifications.

I would vote for either Hillary or Ann Richards (preferrably Richards). Not sure about Rice.

I'm suprised, Hayes. It's cool but I'm surprised. Maybe that's why I think your a good poster, even if we disagree on a lot of stuff. You definitely don't follow one parties ideology right down the line. Kind of like your post on Carter awhile back.

LOL, RocketsPimp! I could vote for a woman, but Condi Rice isn't really a woman is she? Has anyone checked? Dude makes Wolfowitz and Cheney look like doves.

Yeah, BUT the majority of the people who voted in New York state voted for Hillary. Can't be mad at her for winning, can you? Besides, we all know why she chose to run in New York as opposed to any other state in the union(besides Cali). New York is the BIG stepping-stone for "future" BIG moves......;)
